Police Are to Protect Criminals, Not the Public

Police are there to punish people for breaking the law. They do not "protect". In order to protect, they would have to stop crimes before they happen.

And when you take away the police, criminals need protection. Once communities develop effective vigilantes all hope of restoring order will be out of reach for some time.

In the meantime, lock and load and keep your powder dry.

One of the many advantages to the rural life.....Cops can round up the wrongdoers.

That's the way it was, it's no longer like that.

That changed sometime around the 2000s I think.

Now it's just "Law Enforcement".

What that means is that they hammer people with tickets and petty offenses and are cautious about going after

really bad people. "Low hanging fruit" as it is.

They don't really investigate and try to track down criminals as much anymore. :nono:

Yes, they are the first step. From writing tickets to arrests, they begin the punishment process.
The first police department in America started in 1845. Citizens took care of law enforcement 200 years before that. With the establishment of police there’s an agreement between citizens and government that police will enforce the law.

Now that Democrats have reneged on that agreement citizens are once again taking charge.
