In the '60s, rebellious youth began sporting nazi regalia because it was guaranteed to piss of their parents who had just fought to defeat the Nazis.
The idiots had no idea what the Nazis represented, they only knew that their parents hated them so that was good with them.

I remember that. There were tons of captured WW2 German uniforms, insignia, weapons, and other stuff around during the 60's. Most of it got bought up by collectors who seek to preserve the forgotten past, driving the value through the roof.
Remember what they say: Those who don't remember the past, will be doomed to repeat it. Maybe those idiot Democrats who insist on erasing their bloody past will remember that, next time they want to pull down a statue of some forgotten Confederate soldier.
