Exodus from Puerto Rico could upend Florida vote in 2016 presidential race - The Washington Post
There is currently a mass exodus from Puerto Rico right now with roughly ~50,000 Puerto Ricans moving from the island to the US mainland from 2010 to 2013, and since the economic turmoil has really started to take hold in Puerto Rico in the past year it's estimated as many as 100,000 could come to the US mainland in 2015 alone.
The vast majority of Puerto Ricans move to Florida, and the favorite destination in Florida is in the Orlando area where there is already a large Puerto Rican population. Puerto Ricans are well known to vote for the Democratic Party unlike Cuban Americans in southern Florida.
Florida's electoral votes are usually decided by less than a 100,000 vote margin in recent years. The mass migration of Puerto Ricans is likely to cause quite a political earthquake in the all important swing state.
Puerto Ricans are already US Citizens and can be registered to vote immediately after obtaining a state ID (no illegals voting!! Rejoice Republicans!)
