I have often confused cashiers when I give them, for example, a five dollar bill and three pennies for a $3.58 total. They just stare and stare at those three pennies and try to give them back to me until I finally tell them, "Just enter the amount in your machine and let it figure it out for you."

Did you know that he main reason most watch advertising set the hands at 10 & 2 because it frames the maker's name and/or logo? Another, lesser reason for setting the clock hands at 10 & 2 is that it kind of creates the image of a smiling face...
