Heck, Catholics and Protestants have been killing each other for centuries ever since the Protestant Reformation.

Only recently back in 2002 did Sinn Fein halt their own bombings in Northern Ireland and England. I hope that whole issue gets settled once and for all with reunification of Northern Ireland with the IR.

But as far as jihad against their own brethren, I am not too sympathetic about that with the Muslims. Their book is coming back to bite them in the butt, especially the part about the 72 virgins (an imam interpretation, I know -- morons always ask me to point out where that is in the Quran -- it is not in the Quran -- it is an imam interpretation regarding rewards from Allah of virgins with full breasts and young).

The United Nations and the World Court should round up all Qurans and burn them, and make further printing pornographic and illegal.

No. There were only some regional conflicts and this conflicts were always also in combination with politics. The 30 years war is the only exception - a european war on german territory - but this war has also a lot to do with new forms of organisation and new forms of weapons. The reformation was about hundred years earlier.

Today Atheists and Islamists are fighting with words and weapons for the same: a world without god. Lots of Muslims become atheists meanwhile because of the "godless Islamists". But we know also how damned dangerous "godless Atheists" may be.

So let us hope that everyone, who is in the hand of god, accepts his mercy and tries to be part of his mercy - also if he should not believe in god.

A process of the inquisition needed months and years and ended often with words like "Now go and don't be a sinner any longer". Where the inquisition was mighty nearly never witches were burned, what was anyway a domain of Protestants and not of Catholics. "We" burned Heretics. Not very much, as far as I know. And the inquisition was often the most modern system of justice in their time of history, so often the people preferred a process in front of the inquisition, specially in front of the roman inquisition - very very harmless.

What are Heretics and why did we kill them? Let me say it this way: Heretics are liars in the name of god. And Heresies are able to produce murder and war in the name of god. It's not easy to live with such problems - how you can see in people like Charles Manson or also in Islamists. Nevertheless every form of torture and every from of death penalty is wrong. We were on a wrong way to do so and corrected this way.
