Expect to see this for a while. Assault weapons are the current target. Once they get rid of those, they will choose the next gun to go after and we'll see that one supposedly showing up at every crime scene. They will do this until we get down to hand guns and that will be the last ones they confiscate.

Even if the murder rates went sky high becasue of killings by knives, they will never go after those. Knives are not a threat to a dictator with private armies, who might be armed with all the confiscated assault weapons. The goal here is to ensure that the government will have complete control over an unarmed public who cannot fight back. Right now, it's possible that there could be a revolution because millions are well armed and the people would be a huge force to reckon with. Time for change.

Notice this interview of the woman who had her dog killed by Dykes mentions Dykes would shoot a shotgun at animals being on his property, day and night, and at the end says he made a deer stand and had a rifle, across the street from the woman who reported him to animal cruelty. It seems this nutcase considered half the road his property.

An AR-15 doesn't shoot .22 long rifle ammo and a Ruger 10/22 does, unless there is some kind of variant I haven't heard about. There is a lot more lead at a much faster speed with that 5.56 mm ammo. It's much more lethal.

All you need to know is the law determines what qualifies as an assault weapon, so that common point made by gun nuts is bogus. You are told flat out you can't have a certain weapon or one that has a certain feature. A particular weapon is either legal or illegal and the ban is usually based on sales of weapons made at a certain date. From the laws I've read, it would be legal to sell weapons made before that date.

If you weren't a fucking dummy, you may have read what I said many times and that's I don't want an assault weapons ban, but the people in this country have the right to ban assault weapons, if that's what the majority of people want. When you live in a society, you don't aways get what you want. I don't have a problem not getting what I want, if the majority of people want something else.
