Good point. Dick Cole could have gone the "bone spurs" route.

Sad when someone is so feeble minded that they take a tribute to a fallen hero and try to use it for partisan politics. It's even sadder when, as in this case, they show they don't even understand what they are saying, but prattle on anyway.

Good point. Dick Cole could have gone the "bone spurs" route.
George Bush Sr. was a genuine WW2 hero and the same folks who criticize Trump also criticized Bush as a "wimp" even though his political opponent was a genuine draft dodger so spare us the "bone spurs" routine. Those Doolittle guys had to be in their 20's in 1942 so it's no surprise that the last one passed on. Halsey always got a break even though his cold feet after the Japanese picket boat was sunk forced some of the Doolittle raiders to almost certain death when they were ordered to take off well before the agreed launching point and they ran out of gas before reaching the landing zone in China..
