This was the cry from the democrat party from day one after Trump was elected. It was a monolithic wall of opposition that united the entire party. Nothing Trump did was to be accepted. In fact, everything he did was to be assaulted and mocked.

Can the GOP ever unite in such a way, or is it possible only for the democrat party?

After all, who can argue with the success of the Left after doing it?

Perhaps it is the way to win.

I'm not seeing too many Republicans working with the democrats.
Murkowski was a Never-Trumper, and she got rewarded by having Biden close ANWR, so Murkowski is toast.
Romney is shell-shocked.
Even Joe Manchin isn't working with democrats on their big agenda items (filibuster, packing the court, HR-1, etc.)

I don't see near the level of resistance. Perhaps it has to do with the press being an appendage of the DNC as well as basically the entire Federal government.

No, it goes way back farther than the current events. The left took advantage of many years of the federal government being used by them in nefarious ways, otherwise when ever they would get in control of it for 4 to 8 years.

The conservatives and/or republican's on the other hand, would get power in the government, and they would operate the federal government in a manor that was conducive with the majority of citizen's who are mostly patriotic, love America, and want the nation to be united under good American value's, otherwise instead of using it to wage war through it's power against groups of citizen's that might unite under those certain values, standards or religion's as American's. The left use it for the opposite or so it seems.

The left operates the government in an abusive way if you ask me, and the reason the right doesn't do it (operate it in abusive or nefarious ways for the most part), is because the right isn't doing things that the leftist are promoting in policies, so it doesn't have to use the government in these ways in order to force higher prices, wealth redistribution, abortion etc down the Americans throat's.

Yes, it's time to recognize what's been going on, and it's time to finally reinstate the government back to the citizen's who want to unite, but not if it compromises their values, religion's, and/or their character's before the Lord's eyesight up above.

In other words, the GOP is nothing more than a speed bump for the democrat's transformation of America to change a country democrats hate.

After all, if you love something or someone, you don't want to transform it into something completely different.

So with the opposition party never really opposing the steps taken to transform the country, the only possible outcome is that transformation, no matter how slow it may be.

Again, Trump seems to have been the only resistance to their agenda, perhaps ever. That is why you never hear the call to resist the other party at all costs, no matter what they do or say like the democrats did with Trump. The GOP is just a speed bump party.

Everything he did was awful. That is why Biden got 80M+ votes.

Please do...

GOP ran the last election with no new policies... They had no platform...

Now you want to stop anything, bipartisan legislation included...

Biden would just have to say, if Pearl harbour happened tomorrow the GOP would do anything because Democrats want to retaliate....

Please run on that... Make the choice glaring, Make the GOP a party of no ideas and doing less and only good for trying to stop Democrats from doing anything..

That is not leadership, it's trolling..

So the fact that Trump did not start a war was awful?

Let me ask you, who deserved a Nobel Peace prize more? Was it Obama who won it despite being a person who started a war in Libya, or Trump who did not start a war and was behind the Abraham peace accord?

Especially when you people were so accepting of Obama.
The African asshole weaponized the IRS and FBI and NSA against his political opposition. We did NOTHING to defeat the man. Our side was too busy praising everything the first "black" president did.

Which is my point. The GOP runs on the platform, "Democrats suck". So over the years it has been all they needed to win power, and when in power, don't secure borders and don't reform health care like they promised etc.. At least Trump by himself built a little bit of the wall and made it so people would not go to jail for not buying health care, but he can't do it alone.

Then as the GOP fails to do their job and forsake their promises, power goes back to the democrats the country goes as they do nothing to oppose the policies of the democrats

This just goes to drive home my point.

American voters are like children caught between two divorced abusive parents. As one parent abuses them, they long for the other abusive parent, until they go to them and are treated the same,

Then the cycle is repeated.

Why would you want the GOP to do exactly as the Ds? Both parties are so alike as it is.

The D Party is screwing itself with this irrational hatred of anything Trump, though Trump is a dumb ass.

The only way for their to be a real choice is for the opposition party to reverse course what the other party had started.

The GOP does not fit the bill, but the democrat party does

Thus we have the democrat party and the clown side show speedbump known as the GOP.

Republicans REALLY need to reform healthcare, and not in a big government way. You're right. They always promise, but never deliver -- until Trump.

I doubt any other Republican has the guts to carry on in Trump's footsteps. Hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it
