This was the cry from the democrat party from day one after Trump was elected. It was a monolithic wall of opposition that united the entire party. Nothing Trump did was to be accepted. In fact, everything he did was to be assaulted and mocked.

Can the GOP ever unite in such a way, or is it possible only for the democrat party?

After all, who can argue with the success of the Left after doing it?

Perhaps it is the way to win.

Unlike Democrat, Republicans tend not to trust leaders, and are more inclined not to march in lockstep behind them. Trump was the exception. Republican movements tend to be more grass-roots in nature, springing up from the angry common people, such as the Tea Party Movement.

The Tea Party had no real leaders, although there were those who claimed to be, and those who took credit. I see something like that in the near future, probably during 2022, resulting in the loss of many seats for the Democrats.

For eight long years, George W. Bush refused to criticize Barack Obama. Yet one month into President Donald Trump’s presidency, Mr. Bush decided it was OK to offer a critique of the former real estate mogul.

In fact, Bush did not even defend himself as the media came after him about the Gulf War. He just curled up in a ball and waited for Obama to take power.

Obama was what we thought he would be. And that is what sucks.

I voted for Obama in his first election because I believed in his message of Hope and Change. However I was worried that Obama might bring Chicago style politics and all its corruption and malfeasance to the Oval Office. That is exactly what Obama did.

So I didn’t vote for Obama the second time. Unfortunately the Republicans ran a RINO named Romney and he was apologetic about his wealth and seemed afraid to campaign too hard against Obama as he might be called a racist.

If Romney had been elected we would be living with a new Federal Assault Weapons Ban right now. Obama couldn’t push one through Congress but Romney would have got enough support from elected republicans to pass the new law. It is possible that Romney lost because many gun owners didn’t show up at the polls to vote for him. I did vote for Romney but I was holding my nose when I did.

Obama failed to get a Federal Assault Weapons Ban passed but he was a great gun salesman. Joe Biden may be even better at increasing gun sales as now even gun hating liberals are buying their first firearms for self defense due to the riots and the skyrocketing crime in our big cities.
