During House Minority Nancy Pelosi's address at the 2014 California Democrats State Convention on Saturday in Los Angeles, she told a story about an unnamed House Republican telling her the GOP does not care about hungry children in America. Pelosi claimed the unnamed "friend" called the poor and hungry "invisible". Pelosi used that same exact same rhetoric in early February at her weekly press briefing only then instead of friend it was the rock band U2 that gave her the "invisible" line...

Pelosi on Saturday: "I asked a Republican friend why his party remains so opposed to extending the vital lifelines for struggling families and really hungry children. This colleague response was telling in its blunt nature and it's stunning in its honestly, what he said was to the Republican caucus these people you are talking about, are invisible, and the republican caucus is indifferent to them."

Yet another fantasy Nancy Pelosi has invented in her mind. An outright fabrication.

This unnamed Republican friend can't exist. No Republican would tell Pelosi something like this and expect it to remain secret. Most likely this was just another example of the utter nonsense that liberals tell each other in their echo-chamber, or at one of their exclusive dinner parties.

How can the richest member of Congress claim she can even begin to understand what we in the middle-class feel? These people in Washington are so out of touch it's not even funny.

This one belongs in the "Democrats win because they have lies" thread, but I wanted to let everyone know the latest nonsense the former Speaker of the House said. It's not a coincidence that Pelosi has become the richest member of Congress since taking that position.

But she isn't a lone. Recall Harry Reid saying he had evidence Romney hadn't paid any taxes. He didnt. The press of course didnt bother to look into how he could have gotten such information without committing a felony.
