RNC leaders should listen to Rush Limbaugh

For one thing the GOP says it's for smaller government etc but really when was the last time a repugnantcan administration actually reduced the size scope and cost of government?

The answer at least for the past 4 decades is never.

W. Bush gave the conservative label a bad name. He ran as a conservative and then went on a spending binge. If Republicans nominate another such "conservative," it will be the death of the party.

There has not been one so called conservative admin. in my lifetime that actually reduced the size scope and cost of government.

So even though the republicans say they are for smaller government their actions seem to disprove their words.

Every CON$ervoFascist Republican't does the same thing, especially St Ronnie, who is worshiped as the perfect CON$ervoFascist. If you remember, Reagan attacked Carter for running up $300 billion in debt in his 4 years, and then ran up ten times that amount himself. CON$ have always been the biggest spenders because they know their Misinformation Voters will always stupidly believe their words and even more stupidly ignore their actions.

It's getting pretty ridiculous when Huffington gives advice to republicans while the scandal plagued president is hiding somewhere overseas and the Country is falling apart.

The RNC believes the GOP must change to attract voters that have moved to the democrats. That would mean turning their backs on all of the principles the Republican Party stands for. The faithful conservatives that call themselves Republicans would have nowhere to go but the Tea Party. The party leaders should listen to Rush Limbaugh if they want the GOP to win elections in the future.

He'd better start......

Just the way Ronald Reagan saved the world from the Soviets George W. Bush save the world from muslim terrorists. It was Obama that let Al Qaida get strong again. John McCain would not have let that happen.

Yeah.................sure......................keep not letting the facts interrupt your bullshit.

Under Obama and his drone strikes, AQ has gotten much weaker.

But................if you insist that under Obama AQ has gotten stronger, quick question.........got a link to back up your bullshit (preferably from a real news source, not some right wing blog site)?

Rush is right. The GOP is perfect just the way it is - except should be even more conservative. Keep up the good work.

My thoughts exactly, the GOP just isn't conservative enough! No need to change policies, just need to find a better way to say it. No need to fix that rotting house, just put a new coat of paint on it.

You liberals are blind to the damage your give away policies cause. The voters must regain their common sense and return to the conservative policies that made our country the most powerful in the world.

Conservative policies did not make our country great, it was the guys and gals who man the turrets of battleships; and, those that work in the engine rooms of Aircraft carriers. Don't forget those heroes who parol the oceans in submarines. Give credit to the ground troops who fought, shed blood and died to keep this country great. There were a lot of "liberals" among them. But whatever you do, don't give conservatives credit for making this country great. Most just used others, including our troops, to line their own pockets.

Nobody should listen to Rush, for the most obvious of reasons:

"It is a melancholy truth, that a suppression of the press could not more compleatly deprive the nation of it's benefits, than is done by it's abandoned prostitution to falsehood."
-- Thomas Jefferson; from letter to John Norvell (June 14, 1807)

If they insist on doing so anyway, they deserve what they get

Really? Hiding out? Because as I recall, his trip to Israel (where he's at now), has been planned for at least a few weeks.

Yet another fail from the rabid right.

Rush Limbaugh: RNC Report Wrong, GOP Didn't Get 'Landslided' In 2012, Must Be More Conservative

Someone might actually want to ask what experience it is that Limbaugh supposedly has in electoral politics that should cause the GOP to take his advice on how to win nationwide elections (and spouting off doesn't count). Keep in mind that Limbaugh has nothing whatsoever to lose if the GOP flounders. In fact, it may actually be true that GOP failure at the ballot box would translate better to Limbaugh's future success as an ad hoc AM radio critic of Democrats than it would if he was merely a cheer leader supporting the GOP from the sidelines.

FDR was a conservative?

Oh and by all means the GOP should continue to listen to Rush.

The voters will come to their senses by 2014 just like they did in 2000 and 2004 and 2010. Once they realize that Obama's socialism and the welfare leeches are killing our country. By 2016 the conservative values of the GOP will be welcomed with open arms by the voters who will be sick and tired of the recession the democrats kept going for 8 years.

I hope you're right, but there are a lot of programs that need to be cut, some of which are GOP prized pigs. The democrook pigs are the biggest, and need to be slaughtered the most, but everyone stands to lose something if this government moster is to be brought under control.

45% of the voters consider themselves moderates. The more the GOP moves to the right, the more of those voters they leave to the Democrats.

Limbaugh doesn't care about winning elections.

Contrary to what you have been fed, the GOP has not moved to the right. It is right where it has been for over a century now. The same principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, and economic freedom that were valid a century ago, are still valid today.

Where the GOP has gone wrong, is by not insisting that GOP candidates hold to those standards, and by not getting their message to the voters.

Republicans can live with a big tent for all other issues, but it cannot, and should not, live without those basic principles.
