RNC leaders should listen to Rush Limbaugh

The RNC believes the GOP must change to attract voters that have moved to the democrats. That would mean turning their backs on all of the principles the Republican Party stands for. The faithful conservatives that call themselves Republicans would have nowhere to go but the Tea Party. The party leaders should listen to Rush Limbaugh if they want the GOP to win elections in the future.

Rush Limbaugh: RNC Report Wrong, GOP Didn't Get 'Landslided' In 2012, Must Be More Conservative
No.

The RNC AND the GOP need to figure out what their values and principles are. Then articulate them to people who are looking for mature, responsible leadership. Most of all, they need to decide what they stand for and then STAND BY THOSE PRINCIPLES!

Until then, I will remain an Independent.

I don't associate with capitulaters, fools, and cowards...

45% of the voters consider themselves moderates. The more the GOP moves to the right, the more of those voters they leave to the Democrats.

Limbaugh doesn't care about winning elections.

Contrary to what you have been fed, the GOP has not moved to the right. It is right where it has been for over a century now. The same principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, and economic freedom that were valid a century ago, are still valid today.

Where the GOP has gone wrong, is by not insisting that GOP candidates hold to those standards, and by not getting their message to the voters.

Republicans can live with a big tent for all other issues, but it cannot, and should not, live without those basic principles.

It would be helpful if they'd quit insulting everyone also. Not so much their weak and partisan politicians, but they mouthpieces in the media who are relentlessly dismissive of any and all who don't think like them. Not exactly an inviting atmosphere they're creating.

Yea, just keep hearing the same redundant lies from Rush and friends................ THAT will help!

That someone would characature people who disagree with obozo in that manner illustrates the bigotry of the left.

The RNC is composed of idiots who can't tie their own shoelaces. Until they're replaced, the GOP won't modernize and regain power. :cuckoo:

This is not realignment. As has been the case for decades, American politics continues to be fought between the 40-yard lines. The Europeans fight goal line to goal line, from socialist left to ultra-nationalist right. On the American political spectrum, these extremes are negligible. American elections are fought on much narrower ideological grounds. In this election the Democrats carried the ball from their own 45-yard line to the Republican 45-yard line.

The fact that the Democrats crossed midfield does not make this election a great anti-conservative swing. Republican losses included a massacre of moderate Republicans in the Northeast and Midwest. And Democratic gains included the addition of many conservative Democrats, brilliantly recruited by Rep. Rahm Emanuel with classic Clintonian triangulation. Hence Heath Shuler of North Carolina, antiabortion, pro-gun, anti-tax -- and now a Democratic House member.
The result is that both parties have moved to the right. The Republicans have shed the last vestiges of their centrist past, the Rockefeller Republicans. And the Democrats have widened their tent to bring in a new crop of blue-dog conservatives.

From the link.

"The RNC report, dubbed the Growth and Opportunity Project, cited a survey in which voters from across the country "said that the Party is 'scary,' 'narrow minded,' and 'out of touch' and that we were a Party of 'stuffy old men."

Why on earth would any body think that, I mean the Maobama Pravda media has been repeating it for more than 6 freaking years now. At this point the only way to beat the dems is start playing by their rules. Which means sponsor boycotts of biased media outlets, their bottom line is more important to them than ideology, but to do that we have to become as well organized as they are. Playing nice will no longer work going forward.

That's just a bunch of talk and crap. I would like to see his followers try to do it. Don't they pretty much only watch Foxnews and listen to his show anyway? They won't be missed if they boycott something they don't solicit already.

For one thing the GOP says it's for smaller government etc but really when was the last time a repugnantcan administration actually reduced the size scope and cost of government?

The answer at least for the past 4 decades is never.

The democrats fight every effort made by the GOP to shrink government and liberal entitlement programs.

What did the republicans do to achieve that when they had both Houses in the early 2000's? Did they increase government or shrink government? Did they shrink "liberal entitlement programs" or increase them? Did the increase Civil Liberies or decrease Civil Liberies with their various "Acts"?

I don't see the point of the republican party moving to the left.
Then people might as well vote Democrat.

They need a better way to explain what they wish to do and to counter the left's aggressive attacks.
I have in mind the ads that were out there accusing Romney of killing that lady who had health insurance coverage who got sick and died years after Romney's company closed the business her husband worked for.

Rush is right. The GOP is perfect just the way it is - except should be even more conservative. Keep up the good work.

Why not, the Democrats are moving into full blown Socialist-commie, they should be called the socialist party of the United Sates..Maybe the people will reject that...not you here though..

It is my opinion that the Republican party, thanks to people like McCain, Graham, and Snow, has become little more than a lite version of the Democratic Party.

The media, in their support of all things Liberal has helped this along.

McCain was their Favorite Republican Senator. He was and still is a huge supporter Immigration reform and Amnesty. They loved him when he was the "Maveric" Republican fighting against the rest of the party. Until he decided that he would run for President. Then they turned on him.

The media hated Rubio until he started pushing for the latest amnesty plan. While they haven't been exactly jubilant in their treatment, they have stopped their hatefest on him.

For some reason they think that if the media loves them, they will get the good press and people will vote for them They forget that they will lose the vote of people like me. It's not that I will vote for the Democrat, I simply won't vote for anyone.

Romney lost over 3 million votes because of people, conservatives, staying home. Why? Because he went "nice" and tried to court the media.

They are getting ready to lose my vote if they don't return to the Conservative side of the aisle.

"RETURN" to the conservative side of the aisle? Really? Because this country has been moving steadily more right over the past 30 or so years.

Really?

Did you type that with a straight face or have you been living under a rock.

Gay Marriage.

Illegal immigrates getting Amnesty

Abortion on demand (Though some States have gotten a little tougher)

Obama-Care

Mayor Bloomberg and his "Health" Laws.

Do you really need more examples?

Don't believe the fiction of political theater.

The Republicans have been fighting for less government since Ronald Reagan was President but the democrats have stopped them at every turn.

Really? Fighting for less government? Is that why the Republicans gave us the DHS and TSA?

Yanno.......................I wonder how many republicans under Reagan actually fought for less government.

Probably none...................especially in light of the many tax increases that Reagan did.

GOP controlled the Presidency and Congress from 2001 to 2007. Just saying it doesn't make it true. Republicans only want to cut programs that help people but want to increase the programs that control people.
