He had a confederate flag on the front of his car.

Assume you are correct. Why would we ban the confederate flag on his car but not the flags of South Africa or Rhodesia sewn to his jacket? Rhodesia doesn't exist any more than the confederacy exists. Why shouldn't display of the Rhodesian flag be illegal?

Does anyone fly the flag of South Africa over their state Capitol?
