Wrong as usual. We became involved in Viet Nam in 1950, under Truman. We didn't withdraw until 1975.

We didn't send in US combat troops until 1965.

Wrong again. In '55 we sent in military advisors and had our first 2 Americans killed in '59. In '61 we sent in an aircraft carrier, and special forces. By '63 we have 21,000 special forces on the ground there. By the end of '65, we 200,000 troops on the ground.
