Saddam's WMDs Went To Syria, Then Lebanon....

Neither Reid nor Kerry had the authority to invade and occupy Iraq. That's what cost lives then and now. It is all on President Bush.

You are RIGHT!
But you don't stand on the home team sidelines and cheer for the other side!
You don't attack the team that is following orders!
You don't tell the other side.."Hey our guys are killers! "Our guys kill and terrorize children!" And tell me that these words don't have a POSITIVE affect on the terrorists that recruited more terrorists AND at the same time demoralizes our troops when these elected Senators/Congressmen say:

Senator Kerry (D) "American soldiers going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children."

Remember Kerry EARLIER SAID...
"Without a question, we need to disarm Saddam. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an
oppressive regime .... to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction
.... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real ...."Kerry , Jan. 23. 2003

U.S. Rep. John Murtha(D)"Our troops killed innocent civilians in cold blood,”

Durbin (D) "must have been done by Nazis, Soviets"--action of Americans in the treatment of their prisoners.

then Senator Obama said "troops are air-raiding villages and killing civilians,"

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid(D) "The war is lost, the surge is not accomplishing anything "

The citizens of Afghanistan and Iraq did not need or depend on elected American government officials to inform them of crimes and atrocities being committed by American troops. They were already using incidents like these as recruitment propaganda and vengeance attacks were already being made on troops not connected in any way with the poor discipline, faulty tactics or outright criminal behavior by others. It sounds like some would like to ignore facts and responsibilities and suspend free speech for the sake of being able to commit war crimes and atrocities. The incidents exposed to the American public were addressed and the country is better for it. Not a single incident being listed in this thread was shown to be untrue. Many more far more ugly incidents were also addressed.

Yea well before Vietnam/Iraq the following statements would be called "treason"..especially during WWII and Korean!

Why do you want to review these embarrassing incidents? Only a brainwashed idiot would not know that US troops are currently serving sentences in military prisons for committing the crimes referred to. Only an uninformed idiot would not know that night time raids into home with children were being used as a tactic by US troops and that air raids were causing significant and unacceptable collateral damage. Commanders were put on notice and troops were better educated in regards to the tolerance of criminal behavior against citizens. Night time house raids were greatly reduced as a routine tactic. Collateral damage by air raids were reduced. So again, why do you want to bring this subject up for discussion?

Simply because THESE TRAITORS had more secure, less publicized VENUES to make these observations rather then blasting them out in the MSM to be used as propaganda that KILLED US troops and thousands of Iraqis!
NO one should DISAGREE that the vast Majority of all our military are NOT NAZIS! ARE NOT COLD BLOODED KILLeRS!
So why then would idiot traitors like the above comments be made in the press KNOWING full well they MAYBE taken out of context by the terrorists?
Either the above are so f...king DUMB not to know the power of words OR THEY TRULY didn't CARE!
They wanted their political agenda to be moved REGARDLESS of how many troops were killed or innocent Iraqis slaughter BY the TERRORISTS!
THERE is NO NONE NADA... justifications for comments like these!
Ask ANY Military person if being called "cold blooded killers" or "terrorists" or "Nazis" or the "war is lost" is HELPFUL to THEM or to the bad guys!
Why are people like you so ready to believe as the above traitors did that ALL our military are the bad guys?

The Haditha incident (also called the Haditha killings or the Haditha massacre) refers to the incident in which 24 unarmed Iraqi men, women and children, all civilians,[1][2] were killed by a group of United States Marines on November 19, 2005 in Haditha, a city in the westernIraqi province of Al Anbar. The dead included several children and elderly people, who were shot multiple times at close range while unarmed. It has been alleged that the killings were retribution for the attack on a convoy of Marines with an improvised explosive device that killed Lance Corporal Miguel Terrazas. Many news reports have compared the incident to the My Lai massacre.[3]
By June 17, 2008, six defendants had had their cases dropped and a seventh found not guilty.[11] The exception was former Staff Sgt Frank Wuterich. On October 3, 2007, the Article 32 hearing investigating officer recommended that Wuterich be tried for negligent homicide in the deaths of two women and five children, and that charges of murder be dropped.Haditha killings - Wikipedia the free encyclopedia
But here was Murtha BEFORE knowing the FACTS...U.S. Rep. John Murtha(D)"Our troops killed innocent civilians in cold blood,"
Did MURTHA ever retract this statement that the context is ALL OUR TROOPS KILLED INNOCENT CIVILIANS IN COLD BLOOD"?
When Murtha said...
"There was no firefight, there was no IED (improvised explosive device) that killed these innocent people. Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them, and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood."[73]

On August 2, 2006, Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Frank D. Wuterich, who led the accused squad, filed suit for libel and invasion of privacy. The filing stated Murtha "tarnished the Marine's reputation by telling news organizations in May that the Marine unit cracked after a roadside bomb killed one of its members and that the troops 'killed innocent civilians in cold blood.' Murtha also said repeatedly that the incident was 'covered up.' "[74] As of June 2008, Wuterich was charged with nine counts of manslaughter. Wuterich's lawsuit against Murtha was dismissed in 2009, as the court determined Murtha was immune, having made his comments as a lawmaker

On September 25, 2008 former Lance Cpl. Justin Sharratt, one of the Marines exonerated in the hearings, filed a slander suit against Rep. Murtha. The lawsuit states that "Sharratt, in being labeled repeatedly by Murtha as a 'cold-blooded murderer,' and by Murtha outrageously claiming that the Haditha incident was comparable to the infamous (My Lai) massacre of Vietnam, has suffered permanent, irreversible damage to his reputation." In 2011, Sharratt's lawsuit was dismissed by the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals.

Trial of Wuterich[edit]
The court martial of Wuterich, the only defendant to stand trial for the Haditha killings, took place in January 2012. During the trial Sgt. Sanick Dela Cruz testified that he urinated on the skull of one of the dead Iraqis.[63] He also testified, after describing how Wuterich shot the passengers of the car himself from close range, "Sergeant Wuterich approached me and told me if anyone asks, the Iraqis were running away from the car and the Iraqi army shot them".[64] In a plea deal, Wuterich pled guilty to dereliction of duty, while charges of assault and manslaughter were dropped.[16] He was convicted of a single count of negligent dereliction of duty on January 24, 2012, receiving a rank reduction and pay cut but avoiding jail time.

This was a cover up... plain and simple... This is embarrassing for any solider in uniform.
