There were no mass shootings in the U.S. so far this year. A mass shooting is a shooting that takes place in a public space without an underlying crime, such as robbery or gang activity.... That the gun violence archive lumps in every shooting they can find, and lie about the classification is typical of anti gun extremists...they can't get the number of gun deaths high enough without lying about them.....

Meanwhile, they ignore the Centers for Disease Control research, you know, the research they keep complaining they want.....that shows that Americans use their legal guns 1.1 million times a year to save lives.....but why focus on lives saved when the agenda is banning guns?

A fight in a bar is not a mass public shooting....it isn't the definition. A mass public shooting is a shooting by a stranger in a public place with the sole purpose of shooting innocent victims...a bar shooting is not that definition.

And if there is no known reason for the shooting.....as your second link shows...you can bet it was criminal related, likely gang related...also not a mass shooting....

Most of the civilized world doesn't have America's 13% problem. The 13% really skews the statistics. Fortunately, thanks to immigration, London is now about as violent as many major U.S. cities. Well done!

Those Americans getting shot are for the most part violent criminals engaged in crime, in particular enforcing their drug territories. Britain is starting to see this as the increase in illegal guns is showing, because the drug gangs have to protect their turf...and knives aren't going to do it.....

Of the 10,982 gun murders in the U.S. in 2017....70-80% of the victims are not law abiding citizens but criminals, and they are shot in tiny areas in our democrat party controlled cities....so it isn't so many Americans as more to the point, so many criminals....and the reason again, they are defending their drug territory....

Yep...sometimes the innocent are killed......but 70-80% of gun murder victims are criminals....and of the rest, the majority have some connection to criminals.....does the article say if her male relatives are members of a gang? So of the rest of the victims, a large number are family and friends of criminals who get caught in the crossfire of criminal activity...

That leaves a very small number of actually innocent victims of gun crime in the U.S.....a country of over 320 million people....

And if the democrat party would stop letting violent, repeat gun offenders out of jail, those numbers would be even lower....

As I keep pointing out, law abiding gun owners are not using their legal guns for gun crime or gun murder...that is why as more law abiding Americans own and carry guns, over the last 25 years, our gun crime rate went down 75%......do you understand that number? And our gun murder rate as 17.25 million Americans actually carry guns, went down 49%........

So law abiding gun owners are not the problem.......violent criminals who are repeatedly released from prison are our gun problem.

Well, this is a discussion forum and I certainly don't have an issue with him discussing anything he likes. I'm just curious as to why he posts so much about gun-crime in the U.S. and why he is so often critical of the U.S. Has he ever had a good thing to say about the U.S.? If he did, I haven't seen it. First off most States are the size of independent nations.

Next, you should look at the states and which political party governs those states and their major cities.

Finally, then you should ask if the firearms were bought legally or obtained through straw purchase, illegal purchase or stolen and if the individual had the legal right to own a firearm.

No.....we have more guns than ever and over the last 26 years our gun murder rate has gone down 49%.....you banned guns and your murder rate is the highest it has been in over 10 years, and your police just admitted that they can't stop the flow of illegal guns into your country.....

Murder is an act, a gun isn't the one doing the act, the criminal is. British criminals, even before you banned guns, didn't commit murder as often or as easily as American criminals. Our murder rate is largely due to the democrat party here. The democrat politicians, judges and prosecutors keep letting our most violent criminals out of jail....that is our problem.
