Senate Democrats accept GOP House's Highway Bill

Last night on the last day the Senate would be in session the Senate democrats voted in favor of approving the GOP-lead house's highway funding bill. The bill will add $11 billion dollars to the highway fund, keeping it going until sometime around next May.

So I would say this shows a clear picture of who the obstructionist really are. When a semi-reasonable GOP bill is allowed through the Democrats bring it to a vote (the bill was less money then what the democrats wanted). When a totally reasonable Democrat bill is allowed through....the Republicans (tea partiers) throw a fit and can't pass anything.

Okay...so all government spending everywhere is just universally bad then right? Are you suggesting we spend nothing anywhere on anything? What exactly is the right thing to do in regard to our highways? They are used quite frequently and the federal government is the only organization in the country large enough to maintain them...and yes they cost money.
