Trump has telegraphed what kind of person he is going to nominate. He said he is going to nominate someone just like Scalia, and he said he is going to nominate someone who will favor the overturning of Roe v. Wade. A litmus test for a judge.
So why do the Democrats need to know the name? That's enough information to know they will oppose whoever it is.
