Senate GOP may block budget deal

Would be really nice to have a budget for a couple of effin years. Not like the republicans that want to KILL science, KILL infrastructure, KILL education and r@d spending give a damn.

Of course their stupid endless wars are going to get fully funded.

come on Matt, that shit is getting old. no one wants to KILL science, infrastructure, and education.

and those stupid wars were authorized and funded by both parties.

Very true, you are a complete idiot.

If it wasn't for W and the GOP going back to the epically failed "give everything to the rich" fiscal plans that have never worked, we would have been debt free by 2010

Clinton Forecasts Debt-Free Nation - ABC News

You can't blame W really. Sadam schemed to kill his dad. He had to make up the WMD story to start a war with Iraq...it only costs Billions, thousands of US lives, and a countless number of Iraq lives.

then I guess you think that the Clintons and the UN were in on it with Bush since they all said the same thing based on the same faulty intel. How about all the dems who voted to authorize and fund the Iraq fiasco? A huge conspiracy to kill poor little saddam who never did anything wrong? are you a complete fool?

What part of "He had to make up the WMD story to start a war with Iraq" do you not understand? :cuckoo:

Just curious, at what amount of debt incurred are we to finally stop piling more on?

I started a thread on that question. none of the libs can answer

How much debt is too much? A rhetorical question as no answer other than, "it depends" exists. The question is simply a diversion and a talking point for those who oppose Obama and the Democratic Party, liberals/progressives, gays and lesbians, the unemployed, women, blacks, Latinos, immigrants, Medicare and Medicaid recipients, SS recipients, union members, government employed and anyone who questions such silly talking points.

Now, I'm not suggesting fiscal responsibility is unimportant, it is. But only morons fail to take on debt to replace the roof when necessary, or the tires or brakes on the family car or repair/replace levees which when breached destroy a city.

We spent hundreds of billions of dollars on the war of choice in Iraq, and only a very few Republicans and Democrats questioned spending so much off budget. Yet when money was invested in our nations infrastructure by repairing and replacing roads and bridges - putting Americans to work - the debt became the major talking point of the GOP.

that is just too stupid to merit a response. Not even Harry Reid believes that shit.

the intel was flawed, Bush did not make it up. Congress had the same intel and came to the same erroneous conclusions, so did the UN, the UK, the EU, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Spain, Japan, et. al.

do we need to repost the quotes from Clinton, Kerry, Gore and other dems when they said Saddam had to be taken out?

................

You did start a long thread on this very issue, and you are right---not a liberal cocksucker would step up and answer.

The answer is: however much it takes to get 51 percent of the people living on Obama's Federal Plantation...and voting for Democrats as their sole providers, whenever the polls open.

They are almost there, but it is going to be a near run thing...whether the Credit is going to run out on our children's credit card before they get 51 percent reliably bought with the borrowed money.

Whenever a Republican president can lower the deficit, which hasn't happened in 40 years.

Why must it be a Republican? Are you saying you have more confidence in a Republican to accomplish this goal? That's a change of heart for you, Nyvin.

As for your facts, Republican congresses in the late 1990's and 2000's created multiple budget surpluses, and lowered the deficit. Newt Gingrich was responsible for that, laying the groundwork as early as 1994.

During almost all of Clinton's entire term and part of Bush's, the deficit actually went down. Republicans held both houses of Congress from the 104th Congress through 107th.
Gingrich and the Republicans had nothing to do with it!
The deficit reductions were the result of Clinton's "Deficit Reduction Act of 1993" (OBRA-93) which not a single Republican voted for, which generated the additional revenue that reduced the deficit and eventually produced a surplus which ended with the first Bush 1991 tax cut that reduced revenue and produced never-ending growing deficits until Obama finally stopped the bleeding.

All Gingrich did in 1994 was take credit for Clinton's added revenue. The do-nothing Right are always taking credit for other people's hard work!!!
