Why didn't the democrats just put the 30 million uninsured (and I'm not certain that is an accurate number) into medicaid instead of throwing a nation of 350 million people into chaos? I don't understand it.

because there is no money for it.

there was no other way to make YOU pay for the uninsured except the way it was done.

this law is NOT a failure if one considers it from the perspective of those who designed it and from their perspective of what they want.
