This is a democracy-capitalism critique mock-dialogue (my last one) between Shiva (Hindu god of destruction) and Hades (Greek god of the underworld).

Signing off,

SHIVA: Capitalism is redeemable.
HADES: Consumerism is not...
SHIVA: Why are you opposed to Wall Street?
HADES: Shopping makes for bad politics...
SHIVA: What about the European Union?
HADES: That's just a reaction to American domination!
SHIVA: That's arguable...
HADES: Tell that to Parisians unhappy with 'ties' to America.
SHIVA: America has to be 'Big Brother' --- the burden of leadership!
HADES: Gluttony is inevitable and it leads to fantasies about power (and war).
SHIVA: To separate order from chaos, we have to create 'democracy dominions.'
HADES: Electoral systems are vulnerable to corruption too...
SHIVA: Voting-based politics is at least 'open' to tradition criticism.
HADES: When American politicians bed scandal (Clinton/Nixon), the trauma is worse!
SHIVA: Democratic systems honor resilience...we have to only eradicate 'racism.'
HADES: I worry that competitive-shopping based politics will lead to natural biases.
