Here is how it works. When Arizona tried to implement federal law Obama sued them and won to stop them, because they can't implement federal law. But then Trump came to power and tried to implement the federal laws by deporting them, but the states created sanctuary states to stop him.

For example, if 10 come across the border and only 5 are deported, verse only 5 coming across the border as Trump deports 4 of them, this does not mean that the DNC is deporting more of those who come across the border just because they deported 5 compared to Trump deporting 4.

Under Joe Biden there have been a record number of illegals who came across the border. But once Trump came into office, the flow essentially stopped because they understood Biden welcomed them vs. Trump telling them to stay home.
