Why will ACA create poverty? The poorer you are the less out of pocket medical expenses you pay. (I already did a thread on the massive marginal rates of penalty recapture if someone tries to improve their station.)

Why will ACA reduce employment? It effectively taxes employers for having employees. Contract employees are lowest cost, then parttime and finally full time employees are extremely expensive. What is more highly taxed is used in lower amounts.

Will ACA repealed, replaced or retained? No, it is a bad enough deal that insurance companies are seeking exit strategies already but only Aetna in MA is reported to have bailed so far and it could get arm-twisted back into line.

Will the old system come back online? No.

What will replace ACA? Whatever shakes out which will not be single payer. It has been discovered that healthcare is the real third rail of politics. My guess would be state optional ACA that will die out slowly as the state exchanges blow up.

High premiums will drive away the working class.

High deductibles will piss off many.

You WILL see single payer.

Then you'll have equality.

EVERYBODY pissed but nobody with the spine to do anything about it.
