USC, UCLA, Oregon St., are from the PAC-12 and Gonzaga is in WCC conference. Baylor and Houston are out of Texas. The west is being redeemed this season after some terrible showings in the past. The Big Ten, and SEC each have one team and the ACC has no one in the Elite 8.

Nice to see the west well represented.

Wonder when the last time this has happened if ever. I think the last time there was 4 PAC 12 teams that made the Sweet 16 was 2001, prior to this season.

Actually, it's four and four.....Louisville, UConn, South Carolina, and Indiana are east of the Mississippi while Baylor, Stanford, Arizona and Texas are west.

And the best of the whole 64 team field is Gonzaga from Spokane, Washington.
Not aligned with the Pac 12 or anything. Impressive!

They have been consistent for 2 decades. So we have a Western Conference team, Houston from the American, and Baylor from the Big 12. And the last will be either PAC 12 or Big Ten.
