Today is the anniversary of the Creole slave revolt which ended in 128 people winning their freedom. I am posting this as a reminder that contrary to what certain people want you to believe Blacks took opportunities to win their freedom when possible and without hurting family and friends that may be left behind to suffer the wrath of the enraged slave owners. Like Nat Turner these people should be looked at as heroes.
