Hate crime laws “distort justice” by showing “partiality.” Outside of a prosecutor trying to augment his case by proving that the defendant had (in his own mind) a good reason to kill, judging motives is iffy and subjective. Deeds, however, can be objectively and equally judged. People who are murdered, regardless of why, are equally dead. People suffering lifelong harm are equal to all other victims. The remaining loved ones are equally aggrieved and robbed of their precious ones. Judgments and sentences should be equal for equal crimes.

It’s time to repeal hate crime laws to restore true justice and “Equal justice under law” to all. It’s an American ideal worth reestablishing and saving.

"Hate" crimes can be dismissed via original criminal laws and protection for victims.

All you need is to know the law or have an honest lawyer that knows the law.

So called "hate crimes" aren't a statute based on evidence. It's an added on charge based on the assumption of the mental condition of the perpetrator at the time of the crime. It's impossible to calculate but it is a feel good verdict in racially charged crimes.

So it's not a written, fact based charge then? It's a "because I felt like it" charge.

Most people don't understand what hate crime laws are. Hate crime laws are additional penalties if you bring harm or death to a likely Democrat voter (gays, minorities, trans and so on). To my knowledge it's never been challenged in court as it's a clear violation of Equal Protection Under The Law. But then again, when was the last time a Democrat cared about our Constitution?
