So Much For Walkers Claim That State Tax Cuts Creates Job Growth

These things take time.

Hell, we've given Obama six years now and you still blame things on Booooooosh!

You can blow up a house in 10 seconds, but it can still take a year to rebuild it. Look at Iraq. Republicans spent 3 trillion and it's still a shit hole. And Obama wasn't even president.

So he screwed the state workers that teach the kids, pick up the garbage and fixes the roads for no good reason......

When Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker delivered his State of the State address in January 2013, he promised that an agenda of budget cutting, reduced taxes and less business regulation would result in a better economic climate and more jobs for his state.

In 2012, Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback wrote that his state’s tax cuts would be “like a shot of adrenaline into the heart of the Kansas economy” that would “pave the way to the creation of tens of thousands of new jobs, bring tens of thousands of people to Kansas, and help make our state the best place in America to start and grow a small business.”

The trouble is that the promised job growth hasn’t really materialized.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel says that Wisconsin ranked 35th of the 50 states in job growth during the first three years of Scott Walker’s term, and dead last among its immediate neighbors, including, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan and Ohio.

Really? You're only giving him a year? Weren't we all told when Obama took office that we all needed to give him 4 years to straighten out the economy?

Let me get this straight, he made the speech in which he said that cutting taxes and regulations would help the economy in January of 2013, right? And he was elected to his first term as Governor in 2011, so your article is flawed anyway, It says that they're looking at job growth for "the first three years of Scott Walker's term." That would have been 2011-2013, so they're not even giving him a full year for his plan to show results.

What a joke of an analysis.

well then, you should get elected and offer to TAX the hell out of any business coming to your state

the Bush tax cuts created soooooooo many jobs this country slumped into a RECESSION ... that's how it worked out.

Wisconsin posts job gains, still lags behind national average

20 of the historic lows happened under Bush

see how cutting taxes worked now moron?

20 of the historic lows happened under Bush and the country still slumped into a recession ... ok, Iv'e got it now. Thanks.

3 1/2 years ago, Illinois hiked income taxes 67%.
Business taxes rose 46%. Where is our job growth?

A new national study predicts Illinois will have the worst job growth of all the states.

It's a figure that sheds light on our state and city at the tipping point.

As of now, the study is predicting Illinois to be dead last, 50th out of 50 states.

The new study from Moody's Analytics says Illinois will be the only state in the country where the total number of jobs will grow by less than one percent. The study comes on the heels of another study that business groups say explains the job forecast.

Now, except for New Jersey, Illinois has America's highest property tax burden.

2 true statements! Glad I don't support either, how about you NYcarebear?

So if I am to understand the OP correctly, he is criticizing Governor Walker for not meeting the projected growth he claimed they would see after just three years, yet you same people are still making excuses for the president who after five and a half is still blaming the prior administration for our national stagnant economy.

Do I have that right?

yes

and really, comparing the state to other states is wholly dishonest. walker has increased his state's economy.

I'm not from Wisconsin, I could care less.

Well here is a idea everyone who disagrees with lower taxes have your elected officials impose a state income tax if you don't already have one then raise that and every other tax you pay through the roof and let's know what kind of job growth that gets you.

Walker was first elected Governor in 2010, he was sworn in, in 2013. Just sayin'.

Why is Wisconsin lagging other states on jobs?

July 8, 2014

It's now beyond dispute: Wisconsin has a job gap. The latest numbers rank Wisconsin at 35th, 36th and 37th in job creation over the past three years. That accords closely with my estimate that we are about 43,000 jobs behind where we should be to have just stayed even with our neighbors.

Guess Walker sucks. Following conservative policies never works. If they refuse to learn, they will never know enough.

Illinois had a huge tax hike and has been run by Democrats for many years.

We're doing worse than Wisconsin.
I guess following liberal policies never works.

What wisconsin really needs are massive taxes, more public civil servants , and collective bargaining rights .... Lol

For the people comrades !
