So now what?

Here's a question no one's asked: Where's the UN in all this?
Supposivly, the UN was created to prevent shit like this.

Instead (like every bureaucratic POS), it's turned into a bloated organization full of retards and hypocrites who are drunk with power and have their own agendas. And when a real crisis like Ukraine/Russia comes up, it's AWOL.

Looks like this calls for some behind the scenes diplomacy

What would you like to see happen?
Kerry tried recently and failed, it was expected.

Diplomacy needs to come from the EU. No way would Putin give an edge to anything Obama says, especially after Obama called Putin a Jackass at the G20 meeting last year. It would have been one thing if Obama had called Putin a Jackass in private, however, he did so in front of the other world leaders (G20 members). Not good for diplomacy.
I didn't hear it, so I looked it up. I almost fainted when I read the article at the New Yorker.
G20 Ends Abruptly as Obama Calls Putin a Jackass

Russia has invaded the Ukraine by crossing the border seizing a gas plant or something like that.

So now what?

Even though there will be enough justification from supporters of both the sides for their hard stances, one thing is inevitable: Russia would annex Crimea based on the premise that majority of local people want it. This is going to be a fact because it can be stopped only by a full fledged war involving many countries which no sane society wants.

So what can one do?: Make the best out of the situation. Let Citizens decided if they want to be socialists and suffer under oligarchs or lean towards western capitalism. Second, limit Russia and their partners slowly but firmly over the next few years from all international trade partnerships. Invest heavily on R&D to get free from oligarchs oil and gas dependencies.

Please get on a plane and go tell Putin that! He really just wants to be a good guy!
I am sure you can convince him to let people make the choice NOT to suffer under his oligarchy!

I know what you mean, Becki. When obamacare kicked in, and folks started losing their health coverage, I started to feel lightheaded since I knew it would soon be my turn. I've since learned to get a grip on myself since nothing he does anymore will surprise me. Thankfully in 2016 he's gone!

PROOF Our Media is Not reporting the Truth...
No wonder the libs keep saying cons love Putin.....No they don't LOVE Putin but respect him and would never call him a Jackass in front of the world....We all know who the Jackass is. We call him POTUS

Okay I know I am not all that bright about some things. .This has been going on for about three weeks an I sware, I don't get it..is there a good guy an a bad guy? All I can see is more leaders playing war games at humanity's stake. I see more money being used for death instead of for food an shelter. Other than putting the future of mankind at stake, What is going on? We all learn how to co exist or it is the end! !!

We thank our President for not knuckling under to the hawks who wanted boots on the ground to stop aggression. At this point, had we sent in troops, we'd be obliged to send more in now.

Once again, Obama wins.

Wow, i'm impressed
