It's too bad there can't be more things done preemptively. I know we have a lot of events with large gatherings. But there seems to be a rhythm to these things. They aren't stacked on top of one another. But seem to fall just as the shock of the last one is wearing off. I know they track 'chatter' but I believe there would be something to be learned from following the sequencing of the attacks. Exclude the nut cases like most of the school shooters, but follow the timing and flow of the terorist attacks. It seems to me that a patter would emerge. If I were a number cruncher I would take a stab at it.
