I don't believe anyone was arrested for 'speaking out'. It was the threatening law enforcement officers, pointing guns at them, and preventing federal employees from doing their jobs.

Pretty good showing when you consider the fact that it is all rural people who show. There were around 360 at Portland, where many of the protesters, including Ammon Bundy and Pete Santilli are being held. Nationwide around a thousand.

At one of them, the protesters went to talk to a counter protester and he pit down his sign and joined them for the rest of the day.

There are the plants, propagandists and shills who know the truth but lie and agitate to further their agenda...that of closed public lands and displaced or dead rural residents. But some truly don't know the reality of the situation...and when they realize they've been fed a line of garbage they are not happy...and they switch sides.

Then why was one of the 'occupiers' arrested in Burns, 20 miles away, in a pick up and van from the refuge:

He was arrested in the Safeway parking lot in one vehicle bearing federal government license plates. A second federal vehicle was parked next to him, but the man police suspect of driving that into town already had gone into the grocery before police arrived.

Both vehicles -- a pickup and a passenger van, bore door signs reading "Harney County Resource Center." That's the new name occupiers have given to the bird sanctuary they occupy, which is about 30 miles southeast of Burns.
