I don't know of any way to get me to switch to another XM channel any quicker than SRV.....Different strokes and all that I guess.

Flew into a mountain
Couldn't chop it down
Now there's no more Stevie
Gonna miss that sound

SRV was outstanding live. I saw him in concert 3 times. At the Toledo Sports Arena in 1986, at the Toledo Zoo Amphitheater in 1989, and again at Cobo Hall in Detroit in 1989.

In Detroit he was on tour with Jeff Beck. After the both of them finished their sets, as an encore performance, Both SRV and Jeff Beck came onstage and played "Superstition" and "Goin' Down".

Sure it was a long time ago, but he put on some unforgettable performances.

Stevie Ray combined blues, jazz, and rock effortlessly. Just a wonderful guitarist and a fine vocalist as well. Thanks for the post.
