A jury has convicted Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes of masterminding a plot to violently subvert the transfer of power from Donald Trump to Joe Biden, finding that he entered into a seditious conspiracy against the U.S. government.

All five, however, were convicted on additional felony charges, including obstruction of Congress.

Highly unlikely - based on now careful the jury deliberations were. They gave each charge and each defendant a lot of thought. Legal experts already saying unlikely to be overturned on appeal.

Had it been held elsewhere I might agree but not in the "belly of the beast" that is a DC court.

Finding Stewart guilty shields Trump from having to accept some of the blame. Stewart could have obviously been found innocent by contending that he as following orders from his president.
Then that would be the indictment of Trump that the DOJ is looking for.
