If you read their website what becomes immediately clear is that they use the deaths of Trayvon, Michael Brown, George Floyd etc. for leverage. But what the true core of the movement is about is to put Black Gays and Transgenders into positions of global power. Read it for yourself. The focus on police killings of Black men is an emotional trigger they use to get what they really want and it is working incredibly well for them. Here it is, straight off of their website. I'm sure the black core of BLM will just love that idea!
But then it seems black lesbians were the original driving force of BLM.
It seems over time the message that Black Lesbians Matter got lost somehow.
