Where the wild things are
Finally it seems that the new coalition in Israel is formed, including MKs from Yesh Atid and "The Jewish house". One issue in question is whoever is going to become the new education Minister. If it is going to be Gideon Sa'ar (Likud) or Shay Piron(Yesh Atid)

Gideon Sa'ar expected the education portfolio, naturally continuing having the position he had in previous 4 years, but it seems the centric party of Yesh Atid is interested that the next education minister will be Rabbi Shay Piron, who is known for being an enthusiastic activists in morement wishing to change education systems in Israel.

During his time as education minister Sa'ar signed reformed increasing teaching hours from 24's a week to 40 hours, and increasing wage in at least 30% as a result. He also increased the "free education law" to each child reaching 3 years, and his new bill to put in the "long school day" system, which includes also day care for children up to 5 PM.

To increase the children's knowledge of heritage and Judaism, Sa'ar initiated projects including shool trips to Jerusalem and Hebron. And he also encourage a techonology reform in education in southern Israel. He cut the budged of Orthodox schools who skip teaching basic classes (English and Math) and supported decreasing the amount of "Final exams" for high schools.

Yesh Atid MK, Shay Piron, even previously to the party entering the Knesset, called to make reforms in the education system, protesting it becoming a "Grades factory".

For Piron's views, he stricly says that any school not teaching basic subjects, will not get any state funds. He calles for canceling unfamiliar private school systems.

He has stated in the past that "The Iranian threat has become our greatest worry, when it should have been our children's education".

As for finales, Piron wishes to decrease amount of exams to four, only. Language (Hebrew/Arabic/reading/English), Math, History, and one subject of choice. Education system in general will include subjects such as science, Bible, Herigate, etc. "In school they teach to be prepared to finals, instead of being prepared to values of life", Piron said, and it needs to be changed."
