"President Barack Obama has strongly criticized the leaders of Great Britain and France for their policy toward Libya after the 2011 overthrow of dictator Muammar Qaddafi, saying that he was mistaken to believe the U.S.' European allies would be "more invested in the follow-up" to Qaddafi's fall."

Obama believed in France and the UK's argument for raking Qaddafi down, according to Obama.
He had the opportunity to go before Congress and share that argument, to convince them this was the right thing to do, and then ASK for the authority to use the US Military to join in and overthrow another nation's leader, ending a perceived threat. He refused to do so.

HAD discussions gone on with Congress perhaps those 'post-Qaddafi Libya' issues could have been thought and talked through. Despite their being no immediate threat requiring immediate military action, Congress was never given that opportunity. Obama acted ALONE. Obama, without Congressional approval to do so, took the nation to war and used the U.S. military to help overthrow Qaddafi ... and helping the country slide into chaos and eventually into the hands of Al Qaeida...and now ISIS as well.

And now he wants to blame France and Britain.

No one put a gun to your head and FORCED you to make the decisions you made, Barry. YOU made the call. That's what it means to be President - YOU make the calls, and YOU take all the responsibility for it. YOU made sure there was no one else to blame when YOU took the country to war on YOUR own, by-passing Congress to do so. So put on your 'big boy' pants and take some personal responsibility / accountability. Stop blaming others!

There was no immediate threat that required the use of our military forces.

The man completely ignored Congress, ignored their council, and ignored seeking their authorization to take the country to war and use our military. OBAMA TOOK ALLL RESPONSIBILITY for the action by refusing to go to Congress. THERE IS NO ONE ELSE TO BLAME BUT OBAMA!

Reports state Qaddafi was even asking to leave Libya and had asked to speak with Hillary / our military but Hillary ordered general NOT to talk with him (Qaddafi's sone). It seems Barry was out for blood.

Liberals still attack Bush to this day for taking the nation to war in Iraq; yet, they ALWAYS leave out the fact that prominent Liberals - like Senator Clinton - not only voted to give Bush the authority to go to war but ARGUED FOR going to war. And with the votes of Democrats, the US went to war in Iraq with full Congressional authority to do so - UNLIKE Obama in Libya.

Obama was in such a rush to go to war in Iraq to help Al Qaeida overthrow Qaddafi and hand Libya over to them that he blew Congress off and took the country to war on his own. Again, by doing so, IT WAS ALL ON HIM - HIS CALL.

Fair enough. Im not a fan of Imperialism. Our Founding Fathers didn't want us to be an Empire. It's giving us Permanent War and Bankruptcy. Now when i say 'Bankruptcy', i mean for the People. We spend BILLIONS handing out money to 'every' nation out there, even to include states and nations that don't like us. look how much money we are giving to Mexico WHILE spending an 'ass-load' more on their people who are coming here illegally.
