The following is from Fox News. When even Fox News says the republicans are playing games and refusing to resolve the government funding and debt ceiling problems, shouldn't the wingnuts maybe pay attention?

Republicans have already won, so why won't they compromise?

They got Democrats to accept a continuation of drastic, across-the-board spending cuts that are anathema to the president and his base. And yet members of the Tea Party, from Senator Ted Cruz to Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, have driven the Republican Party so far though the looking glass that even a compromise that so greatly favored their side has not been enough.
This could have been the week when Republicans celebrated a continuation of austerity.
When you have a $17 trillion dollar debt, drastic is necessary, Ron. It's just that simple.

The U.S. National Debt Clock $16,965,912,500,000.00

Yep, only a commiecrat operative would call sticking to a commiecrat idea a commiecrat compromise. Nice propaganda piece, but nothing else.

No doubt, Democrats have compromised the future of the economy with their socialist policies.

Who says Fox isn't fair and balanced?

Notice the bolded names who the blogger used to work for?

All Democrats from New Jersey.

Jon Corzine is a thief and a crook, who, while Governor of New Jersey was responsible for this:

At least Fox allows Liberals to have a voice on their network.

That's more than what any of the others can say.

............The resolution that is at the root of this crisis already establishes sequestration-level funding that President Obama and Senate Democrats have repeatedly said is unacceptably low but which they were willing to swallow in order to avoid a government shutdown.

Wasn't sequestration Obama's idea in the first place....AND...are you
saying a gov. shutdown has been avoided?....if so...then why
all the crying from Obama.

which is why he will not bring a clean continuing resolution to the floor and allow an up-or-down vote.
Republican complaints that the president and Senate Democrats refuse to compromise ring hollow.

Ahhh... compromise....a clean CR is what Reid has been DEMANDING from
the beginning....and Obama....so its obvious, its THEY that refuse to
compromise....their still making the same demand they've been making
for months.....

President Obama’s signature domestic legislative accomplishment, which was passed by Congress, signed into law by the president, upheld by the Supreme Court and ratified by voters who returned its architect to the White House last November.

That reminds me...what part of the US Constitution gives Obama the right
to personally make changes at his whim in a law that was voted on and passed
by Congress ...

Senate Democrats, of course, had been begging for a budget compromise for months – ever since the senate passed its budget last spring. But Republicans rejected this attempt at compromise 18 times, refusing to allow the Senate and House of Representatives to go to a budget conference to hammer out a deal that would have put an end to this cycle of continuing resolutions.

How can you hammer out a deal when Senate Dems still make the same demand of a clean CR...there no change in that demand, so no
compromise has been made...

This could have been the week when Republicans celebrated a continuation of austerity, across the board spending cuts and all the fiscal policies they had been rhetorically touting for decades.
Democrats compromised by giving away the store on sequestration-level funding.

Funding is at about 83% of normal....gov. won't even know it but Obama
will raise fictitious problems and create stupid shutdowns at parks, close
open air monument, and even threated to stop the Army Navy football
game.......how lame.

I am merely pointing out that Fox News, a media outlet that republicans believe is "fair and balanced," has taken the position that republicans in Congress are behaving like jerks.

You don't get it, do you?

The opinion piece was written by a liberal democrat. It is the journalist who has taken the position.

Which only goes to prove that FOX IS fair and balanced by allowing other viewpoints.
