And I have an RN friend from South Africa. It took her years to get her husband to be allowed in. It has been 7 or 8 years and she still cannot get her sister or parents to be admitted legally from South Africa. And they are educated and would find gainful employment and so on. I cannot recall all she told me but the legal channels to come into this nation from places like South Africa or perhaps Western Europe are bewildering. I think they have given up. May as well put a turban on your head or journey through Mexico, far better odds.
