As Wm Shakespeare noted, 'tis a consumation devoutly to be wished.

Some ex-cons may miss prison(no work, free food, free housing, etc), but I think it is fair to say that most appreciate the freedom outside those walls despite the additional personal responsibilities required. Some ignorant people who have never been in prison may fall for the idea that getting free meals and not having any responsibility seems like a good idea.

Ex-cons in this analogy are immigrants from Communist countries(minus the crimes) and ignorant people are those that incessantly criticize the US and lionize foreign countries. The old idiom “the grass is always greener on the other side” comes to mind.

Don’t fall for the hype. If a person lives in the US, they should have it much better than the overwhelmingly majority of people in the world. If they don’t, it is on them.

Some ex-cons may miss prison (no work, free food, free housing, etc), but I think it is fair to say that most appreciate the freedom outside those walls despite the additional personal responsibilities required.

In Cuba, life is even harder due to the brutal economic sanctions regime imposed by the US. So what you're saying doesn't make any sense. Capitalism is led by a socioeconomic class of wealthy, owner-elites, whose main purpose for being capitalists is to generate profits upon the backs of other people's labor. These capitalists rely upon the work of others to live, hence they're the ultimate free-loaders. The working-class whether here in the USA or in Cuba, comprises the hardest working socioeconomic class in capitalism. They're the ones who produce everything, so your disingenuous claptrap critique amounts to cheap, worn-out capitalist Cold War propaganda.

There isn't much freedom in this country, you're just brainwashed. Where's the "freedom" when you have to work two full-time jobs to hardly survive? About 60% of America lives paycheck to paycheck, hand to mouth. Where's this so-called "freedom" when tens of millions of Americans don't have access to healthcare, because their uninsured and simply can't afford it? Where's the "freedom", when life is nothing more than a struggle to survive and your government, the one you pay your taxes to, only serves the wealthy and essentially flips you the finger?

In this country we have socialism for the rich and powerful, and pick yourself up by your bootstraps capitalism for the working class.

Some ignorant people who have never been in prison may fall for the idea that getting free meals and not having any responsibility seems like a good idea.

That perfectly described your beloved capitalist masters, not the working class in Cuba or anywhere else in the world. Your capitalist masters are the bums and you're their brainwashed slave hankering for their love, kissing their boots. Your beliefs and statements about socialism reveal your ignorance.

Ex-cons in this analogy are immigrants from Communist countries(minus the crimes) and ignorant people are those that incessantly criticize the US and lionize foreign countries. The old idiom “the grass is always greener on the other side” comes to mind.
People are compelled to leave due to the hardships created by American economic terrorism and sabotage. That's why they came here to the empire, to become part of the aristocracy of labor. Although, the reality is that the so-called aristocracy of the working-class, the American worker, hasn't been that for decades. The American labor force is being cannibalized by their capitalist masters, and that's been the case for almost 40 years. The American working class has been gutted like a fish, along with America's once extraordinarily productive and effective manufacturing base.

Most of the jobs today are within the service and retail sectors of the economy, bound to be automated by advanced robotics and artificial intelligence. America is doomed unless it adopts socialism ASAP.

National socialism is the future of America, or our country will crumble and from the rubble, the most successful societies that emerge will be socialist. Unlike capitalism, socialism doesn't need wages or markets. It's the economic system of the future.

Don’t fall for the hype. If a person lives in the US, they should have it much better than the overwhelmingly majority of people in the

The big-money capitalist right-wingers made sure the working class paid for their revolt in the 1930s, with their new deal. That came to an end in the early 1980s, with their messiah, Ronald Reagan. Since then, our country's working class has been reduced to nothing.

do each of those corporations provide jobs to middle class americans?
Should those Middle-Class Americans who produce everything in America, get any services or assistance form their government, or should only your wealthy capitalist masters get assistance from their government? You're OK with the government providing services to the rich and powerful, but not to the people they exploit for a profit? It seems your values are a bit warped.

Capitalists make their profits private and their losses public.

Am I against providing capitalists with public funds? Not necessarily, but if the government is going to bailout the rich, and serve their needs, it should also do the same for the working-class. Unfortunately, you don't get that, and begin to accuse working-class people of being lazy bums, whenever they get some public service or help from their government.

Like I said, you're OK with socialism for the rich, not for those who actually do the work. Bailing out your beloved capitalist masters is acceptable and you defend it, but when working-class people receive socialism, it's just them being lazy and "not wanting to work"..blah blah blah. This hypocrisy must end.

Why should middle americans working for boeing get government services other than local services like every other american? What is it they should get?

I agree, obammy should have allowed GM to go into bankruptcy. No bailout. Made them beholding to any ask by any new regime, compliant to whatever. GM, remember when the government bailed you out, make electric cars only and bedamn your profits. Yeah, like that.

If the capitalists are getting government services, then their workers should too. The working class produces everything in this country and needs healthcare, education, affordable housing..etc. When the needs of working-class people aren't being met, the government has to step in and subsidize the workforce of capitalists. The government ends up providing food stamps, public housing..etc, to workers that can't afford to live, because their employers aren't paying them a living wage.

The market often doesn't provide affordable goods and services, hence the government should simply step in and provide those services, it's that simple. Our society should recognize that every one of its members should have an inherent basic human right to food, housing, healthcare, an education and a job. The employment guarantee can be provided by the government if a person for whatever reason can't find a job in the private sector. By providing people with a job guarantee, American workers will have more leverage in negotiating their terms of employment with their capitalist employers and will get paid a living wage.

More, there's no reason why the American working class can't eventually opt to make their government, their employer. Inevitably due to advanced robotics and artificial intelligence, the working class is going to have to take collective control or public ownership of the means of production (Mines, factories, all of the facilities and machinery of production, including all of the advanced robots and artificial intelligence. etc).

Unlike capitalists, the US government offers its citizens elections, and the opportunity to choose its leadership. I prefer to have an employer that respects my rights as a worker and holds elections. When was the last time anyone participated in an election in their capitalist-owned workplace? Like NEVER. Under capitalism, the workforce is told what to do, as if they were working in a totalitarian regime. I prefer either to labor in a worker-owned cooperative that holds elections or for my democratic government. That's like a DUH.

The government bailout and subsidizes the rich both under Dems and Republicans.

are the workers going to hire other americans to do their work? Your argument is willfully ignorant.
Do you understand purpose? what is the purpose, tit for tat cause you said so?

Name one under Republicans, I noticed you didn't include one.

Who saved the banks?

The Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) was enacted during the presidency of George W. Bush (A Republican). It was signed into law on October 3, 2008, as part of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008, to address the financial crisis at that time. Although TARP was initiated under President Bush, the program continued to be managed and implemented under President Barack Obama after he took office in January 2009.

Republicans in Congress voted for TARP along with Dems. The program had bipartisan support, with a significant number of Republicans in both the House of Representatives and the Senate voting in favor of it.

Examples of Government Subsidies and Bailouts to Capitalists

  1. Agricultural Subsidies:
    • The U.S. government provides substantial subsidies to agribusinesses, ensuring stable prices, income support, and crop insurance. While these subsidies are intended to protect farmers from unpredictable weather and market conditions, they disproportionately benefit large agricultural corporations.
  2. Oil and Gas Subsidies:
    • The fossil fuel industry receives billions in subsidies through tax breaks, deductions, and grants. These subsidies lower the operational costs for oil, gas, and coal companies, effectively supporting their profitability despite environmental concerns.
  3. Bank Bailouts (2008 Financial Crisis):
    • The U.S. government, under the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), provided $700 billion to bail out major financial institutions that were "too big to fail." This included banks like Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and Citigroup. The bailout was meant to stabilize the economy but was criticized for favoring wealthy financiers while ordinary citizens suffered.
  4. Automotive Industry Bailout (2008-2009):
    • General Motors and Chrysler received about $80 billion in federal assistance during the financial crisis. The bailout was intended to prevent massive job losses and economic fallout but effectively saved major corporations at taxpayers' expense.
  5. Tax Breaks for Corporations:
    • The government often provides significant tax breaks to large corporations, reducing their tax burden compared to smaller businesses or individual taxpayers. This includes loopholes and incentives like the ability to defer taxes on overseas profits or accelerated depreciation.

List of Bailouts Under Republican-Controlled White Houses or Congresses

  1. Savings and Loan Crisis Bailout (1989):
    • Under President George H.W. Bush, the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act (FIRREA) was passed, resulting in a bailout of over $124 billion to resolve the Savings and Loan crisis.
  2. 2008 Financial Crisis Bailouts:
    • Under President George W. Bush, the TARP program was enacted to bail out banks, with the support of a Democratic Congress. Although the House of Representatives was Democratic, the Senate had a slight Democratic majority, and the program was signed into law by a Republican president.
  3. COVID-19 Corporate Bailouts (2020):
    • Under President Donald Trump, the CARES Act was passed with bipartisan support. It included significant bailouts for airlines, large corporations, and small businesses, amounting to over $500 billion in loans and grants to stabilize the economy during the pandemic.

Their government can hire, or workers can own and operate a cooperative, and then hire people if they need more workers. What's your point?
