This is quite the benchmark for the GOP to reach. They are currently standing with an abysmal 28% approval rating and plunging since their childish shutdown of the nation, making it the lowest approval ratings ever of any party in gallup's 21 years doing the ratings.

Gallup released a poll last week showing President Barack Obama's negative polling among Americans during the current government shutdown is substantially worse in comparison to the numbers the last Democratic president, Bill Clinton, had during his administration's shutdown in 1995.

Obama hits 37% and you still think it's all on the Reps. Remember, most liberal people thought Republicans had a majority in the house and Senate in 2008. Elections these days are decided by how many voters for the other guy were disgusted enough by their own party to stay home rather than vote.

The GOP is running 2 to 1 in that category. Twice as many Republicans are disgusted by the Republican Party than Democrats are disgusted by the Democratic Party.

So go right ahead and delude yourself with Obama's numbers and ignore the much greater calamity falling on the GOP. More Republicans like myself are going to stay home in the next election than Democrats. And that means a big loser for the GOP.
