Lie about the truth of the situation (ie. No go zones)

People do actual research and find out its not true.

Then when you get called out, say it's "the liberal media" out to get them.

Create the bond of victimhood among your supporters and so they will actively ignore the facts and stick to what you reported. (Obama is a secret gay Kenyan Muslim Communist set to destroy America)

Then buy into your shit and buy the shit you peddle (GOLDLINE)

Rinse and repeat. Its consumerism at it worst. It distorts the truth about the world and they profit off of it.
