The keystone pipeline is leaking already. This is one of those “ I told you so” moments that the EPA and Democrats need to take a bow for. As expected,TransCanada spokesmen trivialized the incident hoping to minimize the environmental impact. If this leak portends things to come, continuing with constructing Keystone will be one of the worst environmental boondoggles the Republicans have made. When will the American people come to realize that Conservative politicians want the unbridled freedom to contaminate , despoil and pollute at will, without regard to the human casualties that suffer the consequences.
Part of Keystone pipeline shut down over oil leak

It is easy to see why some people don't trust central planning, but what reasons are there, really, to trust 'the market' and its inherent profit motive? Neither have worked all the time, both have achieved great things. Blind faith, generally, means wandering blindly into catastrophe.

The first time the Alaskan pipeline was fired up a pumping station blew up. Been good since. New designs equal new flaws.

Yes those new square pipes are really hard to get used to. They should just use the round ones like before.

Duuuurrrrrr.

Its like the O rings on the space shuttle idiot. Looks good on paper but until you try and do it. Its still a crap shoot.

That's the tagline for every plumber you want to hire, "we try to fix them properly, but it's a crap shoot".

Because piping hasn't been in existence for more than say 2,500 years. How could it possibly have been perfected by now. You have no idea what happened but you try your best to defend the oil company.

"BP, don't blame us, it's a crapshoot."

Nothing is ever done by a human and done perfect. ONLY a liberal idiot would think that.

So you have no standards. Since nothing is 'perfect' then anything goes? Obama couldn't be expected to be perfect so you are fine with the job he's doing.

That slippery slope you are standing at the edge of is covered with oil leaking from the Keystone Pipeline.

Well, it could be worse. . . .

There are far worse ways to ship oil and far more nightmarish scenarios attached to oil by those means. . .

There is a HUGE difference between a design failing and an intentional failure. Some human made a mistake on design or welding on a pipe.

Obama's failures to this country have been intentional. One is an accident and one is criminal idiot.

Op is a moron. The Keystone pipeline has been having leaks since 2010. You just find it outrageous because your party masters told you to oppose a very small section 2 years ago

If we can assume that oil will continue to be pumped and transported, then we should examine the methods available for transportation to determine which is the best. Screaming about oil spills is every enviros favorite pastime, but accidents are inevitable, and we are not going to cease using oil anytime soon. This article does a good job comparing the available methods.

Pick Your Poison For Crude -- Pipeline, Rail, Truck Or Boat

JQPUBLIC, how should the evil conservative politicians move the oil you use?
