Adult Africans who've immigrated to this country missed out on the legacies of Jim Crow and redlining, not to mention regular interactions with police officers during the formative years. That is such a crock of shit........they just haven't been under the control of the democrat party for decades so they don't buy into the "racism" crap that the democrat party sells to Black Americans.

Blacks were well on their way to prosperity entering the 1960s....lydon johnson, the racist democrat party President, saw this.....and so created the Great Society programs that went on to destroy Black families......and it was a complete success....75% of Black children are now raised without fathers in the home......that is the problem....not racism.

Blacks were still being lynched in parts of this country entering the 1960s. They couldn't sit with whites at lunch counters, attend school with whites, or drink from the same water fountains. LBJ and JFK recognized that level of discrimination was undercutting our foreign policy since it was impossible to market the USA as a bastion of freedom and equality when Blacks were denied basic human rights in Dixie. Since then the situation has improved in some ways for Blacks, but in other ways no so much
