You weren't thereYour evidence?
We keep saying that, and they keep ignoring it.If he is a danger he should be locked up rather than allowed to run around loose
Unfortunately the FBI or other law enforcement agencies don't keep stats on false reporting of domestic violence like they do most crimes.Your evidence?
Which enumerated power or amendment allows for the removal of rights?
The question isn’t “what does government do to people”….the question is “are they empowered to do what they do to people”?Please stop. Are people locked up?
Unfortunately far too many of these "domestic violence reports" are nothing more than a vindictive wife falsely claiming abuse.
Taking away a person's Constitutional right based on the claim that they MIGHT do some harm in the future ain't cool and not the way most Americans view justice.
Hopefully the Supremes will rationaly sort it out.
I read this line and realized your post was satire.Kagan joined with Jackson in cutting through the procedural fog.
A restraining order is nothing but a different form of toilet paper. It doesn't make anyone safe.A Restraining Order is due process

LOL. Yeah, when you terrorize or kill the person who has a restraining order against you they throw the book at you after you violate it. Meanwhile, the person was not protected by a piece of paper. For the most case, it does
The crime should NEVER be the possession of a firearm. The crime should be what is Illegally done with the firearm. If someone is considered responsible enough to cast a vote they should be allowed to own a gun if they wish. if someone is considered a danger to society they should be in jail. If someone is considered rehabilitated enough to be released from jail and no longer a danger to society they should have their rights restored.
all they care about is taking the gunsWe keep saying that, and they keep ignoring it.
They just want the guns.
can you hit your woman with a crowbar or baseball bat?If a domestic violence complaint results in a restraining order and gun confiscation, you will be allowed your day in court.
In one case you will not be able to shoot your partner
In the other, you will not have your guns for a few months while the issue is resolved

Sure you can
Also run over her with a car or hack her to pieces with a machete
Once again we see liberals attempting to twist reality to match their evil world view. In this case the matter at hand is the confiscation, and the government's ability to steal from the citizen without due process. Of course the liberal morons on the Court cannot comprehend that, as theft is so embedded into their demented ideology.
They steal your property based upon specious accusations, and getting that property back is no simple feat. There couldn't even be a case if the state was confiscating property with valid search warrants and probable cause. That is what's missing here.Nobody is stealing your guns
You have a right to contest a Restraining Order and Restraining Orders are usually temporary while both parties “cool off”
