There is No Such Thing as “Palestinians”

Israel brought it onto itself by their policy to unlawfully take Palestinian land.
That’s a step too far. You can criticize Israel’s past actions but nothing justifies the initiation of this latest attack by Hamas and the brutality surrounding it.

What's too far. The fact that Israel takes Palestinian land?

No saying Israel brought this brutality onto itself. The attack can’t be justified. It was just plain wrong
They sure did and they know it. For some reason Hamas caught em with their pants down and now they are really pissed. They gonna make sure there is plenty of collateral damage in Gaza and steal some more land in the West Bank while everyone's attention is on Gaza

What Hamas did was to prove to Israel that it cannot protect its citizens by only defending the border and allowing Hamas to continue terrorizing the Israeli people with increasingly dangerous weapons, and that the only way to protect the Israeli people is to destroy Hamas, and since Hamas uses civilians as human shields, a lot of civilians will die. Were you capable of rational thought, you would realize that it would be counterproductive for Israel to kill more civilians than necessary during this campaign or to target any civilians at all.

As for your deranged claim that Israel will steal land in Samaria or Judea, that same agreement with the PLO that allows the PA to function as a government in Ramallah, assigns all of area C to complete Israeli control, and in the 75 years since Jordan abandoned Judea and Samaria to Israeli control, only 3,6% of the land is used by Israeli settlements, so clearly Israel has no interest in "stealing" any land from the Palestinians.

What Hamas did was outright evil and wrong. Not justified. That should be easy for anybody and everybody to say

Nobody referred to "Palestinians" when I was a kid. That didn't happen until the Egyptian terrorist Arafat (al Husseini) instructed them to.

They have to be the first people in all of history who had to be TOLD what to call themselves.

That is a lie.
Everyone always called the region Palestine, and the country was officially separated and made independent in 1920.
Whenever people talked about taking a pilgrimage to the Holy Lands, it was "Palestine".
When Mark Twain took a trip there and wrote about it, in the 1867 book, "innocents Abroad", it as Palestine.
The fact Palestine was part of the Ottoman Empire, did not alter the fact everyone called it Palestine since the Romans.

Israel is taking military action necessary for its security. It is not “horrible” in any objective sense. It is only “horrible” in the sense that “war is horrible”.

Wrong.
Israel forced the violence by murdering Palestinians in order to steal their homes.
Israel has never paid for any land since they bought a few plots back in 1890.
Clearly the 1967 invasion of the West Bank and Jerusalem was totally illegal, and murdered thousands of Palestinian.
Israel has been illegally blockading and starving Gaza for decades.
And it is NOT a war, because the Palestinians have never had an army or significant weapons.
They essentially are civilians with hand weapons, being murdered by Israeli tanks, missiles, artillery, and bombers.

Wrong.
When civilians are being murdered by Israel for 50 years, and being starved to death, then any response at all is totally justified.
Palestine was legally created in 1920.
Israel is a fake country stolen from Palestine illegally by the UN in 1948.

Israel has never upheld any agreement.
When Carter was trying to get a peace agreement in Camp David, while Yitzhak Rabine was promising no more illegal Jewish settlement stealing Palestinian home, hundreds of Palestinian homes were confiscated.

Clearly there is no Jewish claim to any land in the Mideast, and Israel is totally illegal, and will continue to steal whatever it can get away with.

All Israel has to do in order to be secure was not invade Jerusalem and the West Bank in 1967.
Obviously Israel is the aggressor since it is occupying all of Palestine, and illegally confiscating native homes.

Not a lie. Palestine referred to a region, not to a political entity, and Palestinian referred to anyone who lived in the region.

Wrong.
There have been lots of peace accords, all of which Israel totally ignored.
Of course, why would they not ignore them if the Palestinian can't keep their extremists from trying to kill them?

Both sides are to blame, because neither party can get cooperation from its extremist factions. There is too much hatred, and not enough trust.

This is a major problem we have in this nation and among members on this. People are all different in their beliefs and how they feel, so even if leaders reach a deal, make a law or set some rules? Getting your nation/organization to go along with that. . . well? That is a matter of leadership & trust, isn't it?

". . . Meanwhile, Palestinian groups, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad, warned that a two-state solution would forgo the right of Palestinian refugees to return to the historic lands seized from them in 1948 when Israel was created.

The late prominent Palestinian literary critic and activist Edward Said was among its most vocal critics, calling it “an instrument of Palestinian surrender, a Palestinian Versailles”.

How did the accords break down?

The Oslo Accords witnessed a slow decline, with Israel continuing its occupation of Palestinian land and refusing to withdraw militarily from the majority of the West Bank while continuing to conduct raids into land considered under the full administration of the PA.

Following Rabin’s death, a number of Israeli leaders who opposed the accords came to power, among them current Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as well as Ariel Sharon.

A second intifada from 2000 to 2005 in turn led to heavy casualties, particularly on the Palestinian side, and made both sides less willing to agree to move the deal along.

Any attempt at restarting talks failed in the decade after, and the accords’ interim clauses have become the status quo. . . "

So what you are telling me is that you are just not capable of rational thought on this subject.
