A friend of mine at work; a great teacher, very organized, was at Walmart with a cart loaded up with dozens of notebooks he was buying for his classes. A lady behind him in the checkout line noticed the stacks of notebooks and asked him if he was a teacher. He said he was. She promptly handed him a $100 bill and thanked him for what he did. As he tells it, he was pretty shocked. A bunch of us were joking today that we would all be heading to Walmart after work!

There are still good people out there.

Why is this necessary? Why doesn't every kid have a notebook (binder?)? If it is given to them will they take care of it and use it?

Are notebooks obsolete? I make notes on my I-Phone or Chromebook.

Supplies are limited. If there are certain things you want to do in class, you have to take matters into your own hands.

I'm no teacher, but have been coerced into teaching in my past....

It's no easy gig

I felt like i was standing before a friggin' hurricane...... ~S~
