They're Trying To Compare Obamacare With Katrina Now

Remind me what Obama did again.

He gave money to Jersey and FEMA was there on time. But then again the demographics for Jersey are a stark contrast to the demographics of New Orleans.

NJ had a Republican governor who did not fuck up the evacuation. Sandy was in no way comparable to Katrina in its size or effect. NJ isnt populated by indigent blacks with a welfare mentality.

The two aren't comparable at all. Obama did nothing special.

I concede to your point.

And I guess ACA wasn't brought up in the Debates and no one knew about it.

Lets just all act completely stupid why don't we

Why did we have a shutdown?

Because Obama refused to negotiate over the mandates.

The Republicans brought this all up long ago after the CBO predictions came out. Everyone knew about it, yet Obama continued to lie about it. He chose to lie and demonize the GOP instead of telling the truth. Check out the "Federal Registry" site, go to around page 34,000 of the registry discussing the ACA and it's effects.

And still no one cares Americans are getting Healthcare and don't have to fear being homeless for getting sick. All the whining and crying in the world wont change that. Its an overall net positive you can cry about the little shit all you want but its still "little shit".

You're looking a gift horse in the mouth checking cavities. Its still a strong ass horse

5 million lost their health care. That's a disaster.

The ACA has taken away more than it will ever give.

How many people gain to be covered with ACA?

Whatever that number is...its more than 5 million.

We could easily devise a law that wouldn't lose 5 million plans and still provide coverage for the uninsured. Why try to defend the ACA when it's flaws have been pointed out numerous times. Instead we could be discussing a better law with less drawbacks.

Heres some news for you. Nothing is perfect.

The good outweigh the bad.

And you are checking the gift horse and found a cavity. Boo Hoo

So instead of finding a better way you'd rather call ACA a gift horse? When the government panel rations health care and people realize that a $15,000 a year deductible is unaffordable then maybe you'll entertain the idea of finding a better way.

There are folks out there that are actually trying to compare Obamacare with Katrina.

This is ridiculous. Katrina was handled much better than Obamacare has. They've had years to prepare for the rollout of Obamacare and they still got it wrong. Bush had to deal with local officials in New Orleans that refused to cooperate with him, so basically his hands were tied. If the mayor and the Governor refuses to allow him to bring FEMA in how can anyone in their right mind blame him for what happens.

It can be admitted that Obama has handled Obamacare poorly and only compounded the problem with his attempts with EAs to minimize the damage, but don't try and compare Katrina to Obamacare. Katrina was a disaster that was almost impossible to plan for. Obamacare is a disaster that just about everyone in Washington knew would be long before it was totally implemented and yet Obama and the Democrats continued to lie about it. These are totally difference instances.

Well both blew 120 mph winds up our ass

I've seen it mentioned it's actually more like Obama's "Iraq."

Ted Cruz saved America from something even worse than that!

We can always find a better way if that's all you're suggesting. But its not.

Your idea of finding a better way...let me guess...is to get rid of it and *wink wink* start over right?

Can it replace 52 million?

Individual plans only make up a small percentage.

The big hit comes next year when the group plans fall under the mandates.

Forget the fact that it will drive up costs and cut back on your options.

Poor people m ight actually get health insurance. How horrible.

Much worse than letting them drown like kittens like Bush did.

I hate to break this to you but people are losing their healthcare because of Obamacare. they are also losing their jobs.

One is a government program hurting the American people. The other was an act of God that the Federal Government can't intervene in until local leaders ask for it.

Apples and Oranges

Way more than 5 million will be losing their insurance and then turning around to pay more in premiums for coverage they will never use. That's not a winning proposition in anyone's book.

In other words, your so damn arrogant you wont admit that people were better off before you "tried" to help them. Of course, I am being generous and giving you the benefit of the doubt that you wanted to help them. The people who wrote the bill didn't.

Excellent point. It's too bad we don't have a Congress that could work together FOR the people instead of political gamesmanship. The vast majority of Congress is to blame. We need new leaders who could guide Congress to solutions instead of one upmanship.

If you consider 60% of all bankruptcies coming from Healthcare costs "better off" then we have different definitions of being better off.

Last night on Leno, Whoopi Goldberg commented how wonderful it will be when all the 'poor people in Appalachia' have health insurance. LMAO. That was the funniest thing on the show. She wouldn't know anything about Appalachia if it walked up and bit her on the ass! Just an example of what different worlds people in this country inhabit.

Kudos, Mudwhistle.. There's no comparing the two. Bush could was knocking his head against a mayor and governor who couldn't get anything right and would let FEMA in!

Obama never paid attention to anything until the crisis affected his legacy.

No they're not.

The (un)aca is law of the land, written, promoted, passed by dems. Millions have lost the insurance they liked but couldn't keep. Americans die because dems took their insurance away. The left owns this mess lock stock and barrel. Too bad you don't like owning it, you're keeping it. Period.

Fountain Hills man dropped from health insurance because of new regulations

People are losing their insurance and are being forced to find new massively more expensive policies and/or they are losing their doctors, their treatments. OR they get gov't insurance and lose their doctors/treatments and everyone else gets to foot the bill for them. People are being forced to pay for coverage they neither need nor want, are forced to pay for other peoples pre-existing conditions. Yeah, this thing is just peachy ... you stick with that.

the iron is, since obamacare launched, more people have lost their insurance then have signed up
