They're Trying To Compare Obamacare With Katrina Now

Stage 4 gallbladder cancer and leukemia. Both kicked off their insurance due to (un)aca. Not quite dead yet. Guess this is what obama meant when was talking about 'shovel ready' jobs.

Fountain Hills man dropped from health insurance because of new regulations

People are losing their insurance and are being forced to find new massively more expensive policies and/or they are losing their doctors, their treatments. OR they get gov't insurance and lose their doctors/treatments and everyone else gets to foot the bill for them. People are being forced to pay for coverage they neither need nor want, are forced to pay for other peoples pre-existing conditions. Yeah, this thing is just peachy ... you stick with that.

the iron is, since obamacare launched, more people have lost their insurance then have signed up

That'll change...then you'll have nothing

The policies people are getting on the exchanges are more expensive and have fewer options.

Think millions of folks won't remember that?

Forget the fact that 99% of them won't have insurance for the foreseeable future because the site is fucked up.

People are angry out there and the list of angry voters grows daily.

No they're not.

The (un)aca is law of the land, written, promoted, passed by dems. Millions have lost the insurance they liked but couldn't keep. Americans die because dems took their insurance away. The left owns this mess lock stock and barrel. Too bad you don't like owning it, you're keeping it. Period.

Link the deaths..

Here..I'll show you..

But Sundby shouldn't blame reform -- United Healthcare dropped her coverage because they've struggled to compete in California's individual health care market for years and didn't want to pay for sicker patients like Sundby.

The company, which only had 8,000 individual policy holders in California out of the two million who participate in the market, announced (along with a second insurer, Aetna) that it would be pulling out of the individual market in May. The company could not compete with Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California and Kaiser Permanente, who control more than 80 percent of the individual market. "Over the years, it has become more difficult to administer these plans in a cost-effective way for our members," UnitedHealth spokeswoman Cheryl Randolph explained. "We will continue to keep a major presence in California, focusing instead on large and small employers."

And if you call the 800 number? You get referred to the website...:eusa_whistle:

We can always find a better way if that's all you're suggesting. But its not.

Your idea of finding a better way...let me guess...is to get rid of it and *wink wink* start over right?

That dog wont hunt and no one is falling for you holding the Football Lucy

In other words, your so damn arrogant you wont admit that people were better off before you "tried" to help them. Of course, I am being generous and giving you the benefit of the doubt that you wanted to help them. The people who wrote the bill didn't.

If you consider 60% of all bankruptcies coming from Healthcare costs "better off" then we have different definitions of being better off.

Statistics? How many from credit bankruptcies?

How many from bad mortgage loans? How many from poor use of budgeting?

Healthcare bankruptcies aren't some universal number to use as the reason for terrible reform.

And then they wont be any longer then they'll have healthcare and the peace of mind they wont be homeless from getting ill.

I mean I love instant gratification too but this aint it....Some things take a while and when things take long people go back to looking at cat photos.

They'll be fine. The site will be fixed, the costs will even out then you'll cry about some other small thing like the site not saving cookies, the weather or the kids on your lawn

The costs will never "even out".

Even out means some will save with the help of subsidies, and some will get screwed royally.

How long will we be able to subsidize the poor's health care insurance? We can't even pax for what we have now. Let's add another $3 trillion to the mix.

So far only a fraction of what they needed have gone through the process, yet we don't know who has actually gotten insurance by paying. The White House won't release those numbers.

So what? They've been trying to equate anything and everything President Obama does with the worst things from Watergate to Waterloo, from Iraq to Kartina....SOS.

Update: What a friggen disaster. Without a working payments system nobody can fully enroll.

(Politico) — A key official in the development of the Obamacare website said he never saw documents warning about potential stumbles and admitted Tuesday that a sizable portion of its IT support has yet to be built.

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Deputy Chief Information Officer Henry Chao told lawmakers that 30 percent to 40 percent of the IT system that supports the federal exchange needs to be developed and tested.

“We still need to build the payments systems to make the payments” to insurers in January, he said at an Energy & Commerce oversight subcommittee hearing.

Uncertainty isn't a point. You are going from a point of ignorance. You don't know whats going to happen but you're SURE it'll be bad.

As each day goes by those who lost insurance get more worried if they're ever gonna get it..

And they all remember Obama saying "if you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance".

When they finally do get it they will be shocked to discover their doctor or their hospital doesn't take Obamacare.

The harm that is....healthcare ZOMG!

Nope, the Affordable Care Act is about government control.

July 08, 2012 12:00 am • By Doug Ross,

The Affordable Care Act consists primarily of taking away many of our liberties by advocating health care for the less fortunate.

The government does not possess the authority to require an individual to purchase health insurance, so why try trick the uniformed into thinking the government knows what is best for them?

The Affordable Care Act is about government control over a large market and the welfare of those people. As more companies drop their health insurance plans, those individuals will be required to join a government-controlled health plan and be subservient to that ideology.

This is just what the socialistic president wants — more people dependent on government and therefore more control over those individual lives. Again, just smoke and mirrors. Watch this hand while I steal your liberties.

— Jack Jaros, Whiting

Affordable Care Act is about government control

You can say its about Space Aliens if you want. The bottom line is that people have had the Freedom of going backrupt when they get sick or go without healthcare altogether and have the freedom to pay thru the nose or go without seeing a doctor at all.

So that "freedom" isn't seen as a plus, that's why Obama was re-elected.

I'm reminded of this adage:

“Never give up what you want most for what you want today.”

Is it worth becoming a subject of an all-powerful federal government?

I don't know about you, but I didn't vote to become a slave the rest of my life.

Retired pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Benjamin Carson unleashed his strongest attack yet on Obamacare on Friday, saying that President Barack Obama's signature domestic policy achievement was "the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery."

"It is slavery, in a way, because it is making all of us subservient to the government," Carson, who retired in May from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, said at a speech at the conservative Values Voter Summit in Washington. "It was never about healthcare. It was about control.

[...]

"It is the most valuable thing you have," Carson said, referring to one's health. "Everything else pales into insignificance, compared to your health. And that's the reason why your health should be controlled by you and not the government."

He segued into his Obamacare critique by saying, "It's really time for the people, we the people of America, to stop being afraid of the government and put it in its place.

"Government plays a very important role when, in fact, it believes in the Constitution. That's the problem. When they begin to neglect the Constitution, when they begin to impose their own will."

Hinting at President Obama's decision to delay portions of the healthcare law for big business, Carson continued: "When they look at laws of the land and they say, 'OK, I think I'll enforce this one. This one I won't.' When they begin to treat people differently.

"When they say that people in the Executive Branch and in the Legislative Branch don't have to participate in certain programs, but everybody else has to … .

"That's not America. That's Russia," Carson said. "How did we allow that to happen in this nation?"

You went to the doctor with a cold?

There's the problem with our healthcare system right there.
