They're Trying To Compare Obamacare With Katrina Now

Nope, just 5 or 6 million lost there insurance through no fault of their own. In a liberals mind, that is worse than death.

Just a tiny amount, 5 or 6 million.....

What most of these folks lost were insurance sold to them AFTER the law went into effect.

You do know that, right?

Nope, most lost their grandfather status due to changes in regulations. Policies that didn't meet the new standards were illegal.

Anyone knows that policy changes happen almost annually. That's why the law was changed after it was signed.

You sound like a poster who is ignorant to the harm Obamacare poses to ALL Americans.

Just how superficial and immature do you think WE are?

The harm that is....healthcare ZOMG!

Nope, the Affordable Care Act is about government control.

July 08, 2012 12:00 am • By Doug Ross,

The Affordable Care Act consists primarily of taking away many of our liberties by advocating health care for the less fortunate.

The government does not possess the authority to require an individual to purchase health insurance, so why try trick the uniformed into thinking the government knows what is best for them?

The Affordable Care Act is about government control over a large market and the welfare of those people. As more companies drop their health insurance plans, those individuals will be required to join a government-controlled health plan and be subservient to that ideology.

This is just what the socialistic president wants — more people dependent on government and therefore more control over those individual lives. Again, just smoke and mirrors. Watch this hand while I steal your liberties.

Affordable Care Act is about government control

You can say its about Space Aliens if you want. The bottom line is that people have had the Freedom of going backrupt when they get sick or go without healthcare altogether and have the freedom to pay thru the nose or go without seeing a doctor at all.

So that "freedom" isn't seen as a plus, that's why Obama was re-elected.

They still have that "freedom". But now the insurance company gets their cut first. It's the law.

Medicare Part D was a Bush proposal that was passed in 2003 over the democrats objections while Obama was still voting present in the Illinois legislature.

In the House 187 Democratic members voted no. In the Senate 37 Democrats voted against the new Bush Part D entitlement.

But when it passed and was implemented (full of glitches I might add), Democrats didn't try to repeal it 44 times, close down the government over it or threaten default. They went out and helped their constituents sign up for it then they worked to fix it. They closed the donut hole with the ACA.

Probably because it wasn't projected to cause 66% of the population to lose their health insurance. Just a tiny detail....

Cause? How?

This is something new?

Or were insurance companies and corporations doing this before.

Because my personal experience? I "lost" my insurance five times while working at the NYSE. One MORE time when I was fired. And AGAIN when I was hired by the new firm.

That's 7 times in 14 years.

Each time I got less services for more money.

So..do you folks consider that bad? Or good?

Bad.

This time over 5 million lost their coverage because of the new individual mandates. As many as 52 million more are projected to lose their's when the group plan mandates kick in next year. Then the shit is really gonna hit the fan so to speak.

And I guess ACA wasn't brought up in the Debates and no one knew about it.

Lets just all act completely stupid why don't we

Now you're on to something. THAT's why Obama was re-elected.

Americans died because Republicans ignored them.

Americans died because they don't have health care because Republicans are blocking it.

Seems like every times large numbers of Americans die, Republicans are behind it. Look at Iraq.

No they're not.

The (un)aca is law of the land, written, promoted, passed by dems. Millions have lost the insurance they liked but couldn't keep. Americans die because dems took their insurance away. The left owns this mess lock stock and barrel. Too bad you don't like owning it, you're keeping it. Period.

Link the deaths..

Here..I'll show you..

Brewer Backs Down On Transplant Funding, But Now Wants To Kick A Quarter Million People Off Medicaid | ThinkProgress

Conservative Heroine and Republican Governor Jan Brewer cut funding for several patients and they died as a direct result of that.

Go

Stage 4 gallbladder cancer and leukemia. Both kicked off their insurance due to (un)aca. Not quite dead yet. Guess this is what obama meant when was talking about 'shovel ready'.

Fountain Hills man dropped from health insurance because of new regulations

People are losing their insurance and are being forced to find new massively more expensive policies and/or they are losing their doctors, their treatments. OR they get gov't insurance and lose their doctors/treatments and everyone else gets to foot the bill for them. People are being forced to pay for coverage they neither need nor want, are forced to pay for other peoples pre-existing conditions. Yeah, this thing is just peachy ... you stick with that.

ObamaCare is worse than Katrina. It is a completely avoidable Man Made Disaster written into a Law that is Chockful of poorly written language so that Bureaucrats can Do Whatever They Want.

And millions and millions and millions will suffer for it without the prospect of FEMA relief.

Why did we have a shutdown?

Because Obama refused to negotiate over the mandates.

The Republicans brought this all up long ago after the CBO predictions came out. Everyone knew about it, yet Obama continued to lie about it. He chose to lie and demonize the GOP instead of telling the truth. Check out the "Federal Registry" site, go to around page 34,000 of the registry discussing the ACA and it's effects.

The Affordable Care Act and Hurricane Katrina are apples and oranges... One is an act and the other is policy failure due to too many committees and policy failure (DHS and FEMA). Although this wasn't the direct fault of Dubya, Barack Obama certainly was more competent during Hurricane Sandy. (Yes yes, I know...)

Remind me what Obama did again.

He gave money to Jersey and FEMA was there on time. But then again the demographics for Jersey are a stark contrast to the demographics of New Orleans.

And still no one cares Americans are getting Healthcare and don't have to fear being homeless for getting sick. All the whining and crying in the world wont change that. Its an overall net positive you can cry about the little shit all you want but its still "little shit".

You're looking a gift horse in the mouth checking cavities. Its still a strong ass horse

NJ had a Republican governor who did not fuck up the evacuation. Sandy was in no way comparable to Katrina in its size or effect. NJ isnt populated by indigent blacks with a welfare mentality.
The two aren't comparable at all. Obama did nothing special.
