Mr. President, Chicago's Gun Victims Need You Now | RealClearPoliticsIt’s really not much of an exaggeration to say that parts of Chicago resemble a war zone. The numbers are grim. Unofficially, there were 513 homicides in Chicago in 2012, nearly 100 more than New York City, which recorded 414 killings but which has a population three times larger. Chicago’s body count is 200 more than the number of U.S. troops killed in Afghanistan last year. The carnage has continued unabated into the New Year.

Whittlesey: Books[/ame]He then goes on to chronicle the deaths in Yellowstone National Park of more than 250 people. Most of the deaths, Whittlesey argues, occurred because of human mistakes and "negligence."
On Wednesday's broadcast of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," the Center for American Progress' Christie Hefner said that Chicago's sky-high murder rate could be blamed -- at least in part -- on climate change.
"Yes, last year we hit a record number of murders from guns [in Chicago]," Hefner, the former chairwoman and chief executive officer of Playboy Enterprises, said. "And this year we are already outpacing last year's numbers. Now, there are contributing factors that are not under anybody's control and may seem odd, but it is factually true. One of them is actually the weather. There is a dramatic increase in gun violence when it is warmer. And we are having this climate change effect that is driving that."

You are right. Yellowstone is way more safe than Chicago. Parks do have those signs up, and for good reason. Not only would animals lose the ability to fend for themselves after being spoiled, but they will expect that every person would have food for them. When one person feeds the bears, those bears will expect the next person to feed them. When the people have no food to give, maybe the bears will just make a meal out of them. They are entitled, ya know. Chicago is the epitome of liberal policies at work. The people there feel entitled and if not enough freebies are handed to them, they'll just take it from people unfortunate enough to meet up with them.
Seems it would be rare to be killed in Yellowstone by a gun. Beware of wild animals, especially bears. You'd also fare better if you served in the military and were stationed in Afghanistan.

A book written in 1995 talks about the total number of deaths in Yellowstone and states most are due to people trusting the animals (Disney effect).

Can't blame Bush, so let's blame global warming for the sky-high murder rate in Chicago.
Of course, the media turns a blind eye and no liberals are up in arms (pun intended) demanding that something be done in our cities, where minority on minority violence is a way of life. Of course, before the state controlled media report anything, they ask themselves how the news would either help Dems or hurt Repubs. If one of those requirements are not met, the news is swept aside. Since Chicago is owned by liberals and there are no Republicans running things and because liberal policies have been law for a long time, violence in Chicago is a subject that is off-limits.
Okay, it's clear that since the new year, Chicago murder rates are already alarming and this is in spite of them having stricter gun laws than most. They claim it's because of warm weather. Hello, it's January, and the midwest has been anything but warm since the New Year. Okay, next excuse............................

It is ironic that the government recognizes some basic human nature. Spoil people and they will cease to care for themselves. Instill a sense of entitlement in people and they will demand that others take care of them. Clearly, we are going about this the wrong way if we want independent people. Of course, if we want millions of government dependents who will keep voting for those who take care of them, then we're on the right path. This is want liberals want or they wouldn't be trying to hard to decrease jobs and increase the doles.
Do you really want to make this post and have it hold come credibility?
