Tories shocked at Cleverly exit while Labour MP says Badenoch-Jenrick contest is a ‘gift’ – as it happened

Audible gasps as apparent frontrunner is eliminated while political rivals are gleeful

Well there is no doubt this is a big win for labour. Cleverley was the one candidate who approached normal.

The rwo who went thru include Badenough their leading culture warrior and Robert "honest bob" Jenrick who acts extreme for votes.. Badenough is likely to win with the crazy members.

How did this happen ? Cleverleys supporters are not that clever. They lent their votes to Badenoch to get Jenrick thru. But their sums didnt add up.

Its good news for Labour and the Libs but bad news for farage and his chimps. A Badenough party is well placed to win back supporters from the lunatic fringe.Farage is likely to decamp to moscow where he can join trumpy.

This whole gruesome episode will drag on till November which gives me loy.
